What is more important for husband wife relationship - Love or Understanding?

Sometimes people say that Love is everything for any relationship. But in reality there are many couple who did love marriage and after a short duration their love died and with that their relationship too. And sometimes people say that understanding is very important for good relationship. But many couples are living like ordinary persons without knowing the best part of married life; Love. So what you say, what is more important - Love or Understanding?

Love is more important than understanding but it doesn't mean that understanding alone isn't important in a relationship. Both should exist in it for the relationship to grow stronger.

It's not just love and understanding it should also have trust and respect. So I would say if you want your relationship to be strong you should have those 4 in that relationship. If love, understanding, trust and respect is there maybe the relationship will be stronger and better.

For me it consists of so many factors which is love, understanding, compromising and trust. All wrapped in one, as if I give it all I certainly expected all to be reciprocated as well.
