How to balance time between your family and work?

As a parent, balancing your time with your family and work is not an easy thing. Personally, what I do (since I'm working as a freelance writer) is list down my daily errands in a piece of paper and rank them according to importance. This makes me more organized and not getting anxious with my schedule. Further, I can enjoy more my alloted time with my family, especially with my baby--which is a very good thing. How about you? How do you manage your time with these two important things?

Having kids and going to work at the same time is very hard thinking about it anyway, but I commend you you are a very good mother then, juggling work and your kids. Power to all mommies like you.

As kids to your parents you can give them surprises like cooking for them and when they come home from work, they will be surprised that you have prepared something for them. I am sure they will be very happy and at the same time spend some time durung the meal. Did that sound good?

Its quite difficult to manage both at times but if i plan it out its not too bad. Spending enough time with my kids is essential everyday, but obviously housework and work is also important. I allocate most of my time to my family. I have wrote down a timetable for when to do certain duties around the house... as my wife also does them its not too bad, the timetable doesn't always go to plan but it helps me to remember and i can see what still needs to be done. As for work... doing everthing else around it usually works but i suppose that depends on shifts and hrs of work in the day.

I prepare things during the night before I go to sleep. I would cook their food before leaving in the morning. I would ask a relative to supervise them, when I don't have a house help. Those were the things I used to do when I was so busy before working.

Balancing time with my family and my work - yes your right it is not easy thing. Like for me working outside my home (meaning abroad)is very difficult. What I can do for my family everyday wake-up early prepare to go in my office and chat with them for 1-2 hours everyday. Sometimes telephone conversation. text messages. But more on ym and fb chatting...

I work in shifting 7am-3p, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. sometimes I go 16 hours of work and leaves lesser time for my family and friends. Luckily for me my family and friends understands me and they are the one who adjusts their schedules for me. I eat right and exercise daily so I will have energy for our bondings.

I am a single woman. But in the past, I always used to have a hard time balancing work and family and friends also. My family kept complaining they seldom saw me because of always going on overtime at work. So I slowly cut down on my work. For example, I work faster now in the office. Then I come home an hour earlier, in time for dinner with my family. Now, I seldom work on weekends too. Maybe just one weekend a month.

As a single parent oh boy was this hard as I too was a very career minded person. So I tried to be a Super Mom and be there for my kids and all their activities as well as be this super duper career woman all in one day. It was really hard but I always had a great conscious as my children are now y9ound adults and I can see how great and loved they are so learning to over extend myself daily certainly worked for me. It wasn't easy but always remember that they would grow up and what the end result could be somehow motivated me to continue and well we are happy as can be.

That's right, it's not easy thing to do as parent and also as worker. But if your family is meaning lot for you, you know what to do to manage the time. Love it.
