When I was re-born in Christ, four months ago, I found that a lot of people kind of turned away from me. Some accepted me even more. Some said I've gone insane. Some even questioned my sincerity. What is it about faith that scares people off?

those who feel scared dont understand your choice so as your belief. this is because they have little knowledge of the power of faith. the best way to deal with such problems is to persist your way. after you are refreshened in an apparent way, people will be astonished by what you have been through and accept you more. just keep the faith! god bless you.

i don't know, maybe these people who turn away from you don't think you can have fun anymore, which is wrong. we could still have a lot of good clean fun with our friends and fellow Christians in the community. i just became a member of the Singles for Christ and i've never been so happy. iv'e enjoyed every the worship session, fellowship, etc. i've met a lot of new friends so it's okay even if i lose my old "so-called friends."
i also think that it's just normal if some of the people around you question your sincerity regarding your new found faith. being a reborn Christian is a total life turning experience. some people are just surprised that you're making such a huge (but good) change. in time they will learn to accept it and who knows you may even influence them.. God bless!

I believe that people who do not believe in prayer and or faith are simply because they truly are afraid of it. You have those that perhaps remember you before you were re-born and still cannot see you in this way.
It is not something that they truly are afraid of, it is more of something they are not truly knowledge with. As some people only resort to prayer and or faith when they are truly in need. You have some who feel that because they prayers are not answered that the power of prayer does not exist. God does not give us what we want but truly allows us to get what we need.
So you continue your faith and the more people see your faithfulness they will come around and understand your sincerity. God Bless.
