Well ABC premiered its new family show. If you haven't heard of this show its about a dysfunctional family who was going on a family trip when their plane went down into some mysterious water. They all survived but they realize when they come home that they have new powers. The father is like super strong and almost invincible. The mother is super fast. The daughter can read minds when she looks into a person's eyes. The son has turned into a genius. On top of these powers, they are dealing with the fact that their family is practically broken- the mother is never home because she's working, the father feels like his family is slipping away, the daughter is going through the usual teenage girl angst and the son is believed to be "dumb."
I watched the first episode today and I have to admit I might be interested to tune in later. They have a little bit of mystery and the casting was pretty good. It has drama, action and humor.
Have you seen it yet? What do you think about this new show?

So far, so good. This show is quite like another version of Heroes and Smallville. I'm beginning to like it though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this show would soon make its name on the screen since it's family oriented in an extraordinary way. I love the dad. He's so cool.

I made sure that I watched the premier because I knew I love it and I wasn't disappointed; the show was exactly what I expected and I was happy to see the twist of the possible bad guys at the end as thats a promise of more action.

That was an interest twist at the end. Hopefully that means good action scenes in every episode.

The daughter is played by Kay Panabaker, who has an older sister that is an actresses named Danielle. Kay was on Summerland. She has played many roles; however, I think its amazing she completed college before she turned 18 at the top of her class.
The casting is great and hope the show does well.

She completed college before she turned 18? And she's acting? Dang! Now I feel like a real slacker. lol.

I watched it and I thought it was pretty good too. I kind of like shows that have similar story lines. I think a lot of people can relate to the family, well minus having super powers. It was pretty good and him running into the bad guy that was also super fast was interesting. I wonder where that story line will end up. I like the show but honestly I don't think it is going to survive.

Yeah, you might be right. Its sad that there are so many shows that could be really promising but don't survive after 1 or 2 seasons. I guess we'll just see how long it will last.

I think I might check it out since Julie Benz is in it and oddly the creepy little girl from the white room on Angel is on it too. I can't think of her name right now but I do know she has a sister. I don't think she's Danielle although she might be. It's just nice that it isn't another cop show since there are way too many of them popping up. I am all police showed out.

Yeah, I was surprise to see Julie Benz on it. I always remember her as Darla. I didn't know the teenage girl was on Angel. I only recognized her from some Disney TV movie. The only one in the family I don't recognize is the brother.

I thought the show was pretty good. The premier episode kind of lagged in spots and I found the son to be really boring and almost not necessary in the story.
One of the main reasons I watched was because I like Kay Panabaker. It's interesting to me that her sister, Danielle, was in a movie where she had super powers, and now Kay is in a TV show where she's also got super powers.
Hopefully it gets better as the season progresses.
