Phobias?

Has anyone here ever had an extremely bad phobia? I'd like to hear about it and why you have/had this problem. My phobia used to be agoraphobia.

Fortunately I don't have any phobia. But I can tell you about my neighbour who is terribly afraid of dogs. He has some dog-phobia (if I can say so).
When I go out with my dog and we accidentally meet on the staircase, he actually sticks his back to the wall behind 
. I can see him tremble with fear, but even if I asked him to try to get used with my dog, he said he can't. He was afraid of my dog even when she was a little puppy and I carried her in my arms.
