how do i reduce the tension when i talk with the foreign frineds

i have several foreign friends on the internet whom i am very tense when i talk with them in person or by phone...if we chat just by chatting software, then i feel relax to talk...when by phone or in person, when they speak quickly and i can not understand him/her very clearly, then i feel very tense and almost dont know how to express...can you all, my friends,gimme aome advices...thanks

Dear friend,
I hope there is lots of reducing tension, one is doing yoga, moreover I feel the confidence part in life has lots to do while talking to others. Moreover one should have the clarity of speech while talking too so that the other side may not have any communication problems. I feel we need to find an expert to rectify those speech problems, may be a speech therapist could help.

thanks for your response...maybe you misunderstand, i just need some advices to reduce my tension when talking with my foreign friends in person or by phone...i know the confidence is so improtant to us but you know the english for me is the 2nd language, not my monther language...

Ok,if i may not mistaken,your tension comes from lack of confidence speaking or having conversation using the English language? am i right?
If that is the reason,you can enroll at training centers who teaches the basic English foundation,in which they'll teach you the neutralized American accent in order for you to understand how Americans speaks.
The American English is far from what we know or what we learn from school,having only 5 vowels...while the American having 14 vowel sounds.
Just try it and i am sure you will have all the confidence conversing with foreigners esp with the American.
And,to tell you one more thing,it's very challenging to speak English correctly,with right pronunciation,grammar,and so with liaisons.

Hai mylotter, your problem seems to be the language or the conversational method that you used to speak with your foreign friends. generally if we are not perfect then there will be inferior with the anxity here your problem is not your friends but your mind and lack of knowledge. The first thing you should do is just learn that conversational language better to fit to converse with them there are so many avenues to do this. Here your half of the tension has gone then you take some natural methodologies and practices to complete the resting half by doing excercise and yoga.
