Who is the best in cooking? Husband or wife?

Something I noticed when I meet some of my friend while in my vacation in my hometown, we always talked about who cooked or the chef in the family. Most of the answer a was a Guy. Is that true? The chef in the family nowadays are male?

The chef in our family is my husband. He makes the best pata tim that my office mates just love and the best adobo (marinated pork). Weekends are a feast for us. He likes to experiment with the dishes. As for me, I'm hands off the kitchen.

Hmmm... I wish I could taste the Best pata tim of your husband. Pata tim is one of my favorite pinoy dishes. By the way, I love doing some experiment too..

Most chefs in restaurants are male, but I guess it is still the wife who is the chef of the family. Chef Bruce once said that he don’t cook at home.

I would say that this varies from house to house; in our home - while my husband is a decent cook - I am the best cook in our house, but I am a trained home economist and used to teach catering!
There are good and bad cooks in both sexes, my 14 year old son is growing into an excellent cook - he'll certainly make someone a good husband one day!!

Yes, absolutely! Its all depends where you belong. Some husband maybe good and some are not, or vice versa.

I think there's no difference whether its a guy or a girl cooks. It really depends on the person on how they prepare foods but I think girls tends to be more patient and tends to take it seriously than guys.

at my place..men cooked better than woman...
but woman is more precisely..more accurate than men...
but men's cooking is not bad....

Now kitchen is not always dominated by female. I've met several couples in whose family, the wife don't know how to cook, but the husband is a good cook.
Well, different couples have different situation. It's hard to say whether a husband or a wife is better in cooking in their family.

In restaurants usually men are the cooks, rather than women as it is a male dominated field. However, at home for us it depends on the meal being made. My hubby is pretty good at BBQ on the grill & breakfast foods. I dunno how well he does or doesn't like my cooking, all I can say is he eats it *LOL* If I try something new I usually ask him if it's a keeper or not... usually it is.

in my opinion, Actually, a great cook is a husband. When a male cooks, he will be more willing to give flavor and atmosphere of the kitchen does not become rowdy

In my house it has to be me. I wish my husband would at least try to cook becasue i think he would enjoy it.
I often feel envious of people who have other people in the house to do the cooking sometimes. The only time I get a meal cooked for me is when I go out to dinner, and that is rare now.
