Do you like fatty foods?

So in food, there are good fats and bad fats. Let's go and discuss bad fats, lol. Here are some foods that contain bad fats: My favorite of all pizza, followed by hamburger, meats, chocolates, deep fried foods, sweets, pastries, ice cream, milkshakes and cookies. So, what are we all going to eat now? Haha... So I guess more of vegetables, fruits, chicken and seafood. I'm still thinking if it's okay to indulge in 1 fatty food a week. What do you think?

I tend not to worry too much about that although I make sure that I do stick to a strict exercise regime! I love hamburgers and I love pizza and I guess I have them both on the odd occasion. Sadly I don't have enough vegetables in my diet and I know that I should be making more of an effort in this department! I think it's a money thing though, money is tight and vegetables can be very expensive. I also love chocolate but again, I try not to have too much of that in my diet. I think you've probably heard the saying that everything should be considered in balance and I certainly think that this is true when it comes to the consumption of food. One fatty food a week does not sound too bad at all. I probably have a little more than that myself! Andrew

andrew a hint in re to veggies, you can get several servings of veggies by drinking V8 juice sevedal times a day.also a painless way to get more veggies into your diet are veggie soups that have loere sodium count. and salads crisp deep green veggies with a delish dressing gets you even more veggies.

I guess it depends on if you are on a diet. I for one am not. I dont eat pizza or hamburgers everyday, maybe once a week if that. No matter how long or what kind of diet you are on.. I think it is ok to get a fatty food every once in a while. Once a week if you are on a diet. I went on a diet last year. I weighed 234 pounds at 19 years of age. I know, unhealthy. All I did was drink nothing but water, and I walked a mile or 2 around the track. Usually just walked til I got tired. I had a weight watchers cook book and I would make meals out of that. When I was hungry for a snack, I would eat a 100 calorie pack. I stayed on the diet for 3 months and lost 80 pounds. My secret was: that every friday, If I stuck to my diet, walked every day and didn't give in to drinking soda, I would treat myself to a dollar menu sandwhich, small fry and a sweet tea from mcdonalds. I only ate it for lunch though. Never dinner so I would not have those fats sitting in my belly when I went to bed. So are you on a diet? I hope this helps.

The problem with fatty foods is that they tend to be so tasty! Because I had a heart attack 4 years ago, I need to eat more low-fat foods than fatty foods, but it can be hard going at times, because after a while I tend to want to experience different tastes. My heart attack though was not due to diet, but to a genetic condition of "sticky blood" that can clot quite easily. 4 years ago, I was quite fit, exercised each day - not too much, not too little, ate healthy foods, yet still had a heart attack. Now I am on aspirin eacn day to keep my blood thin. My blood pressure is low, due to the fact I practice meditation each day, and my cholesterol is normal, according to my last test. I eat some fatty food around twice a week, but it is lean steak and some sausages (which are the worst I east!) I don't think that it's the same rule for everybody as we are all different and it best to find a diet that is suited to our particular physical metabolism. I would do this with the help of a doctor or dietician who knows what he/she is talking about though. _Derek

for me it's ok to eat all those and be healthy at the same time. just eat them in moderation and eat healthy foods too, the right amount of food intake should be taken into consideration... just think of the GO, GROW GLOW foods. so i think it's ok... i eat all the foods you mentioned above, some of them are my favorite.

I like foods which contain cheese as toppings, lean and fatty meat. It's advisable to indulge in all these foods for maybe 2 to 3 times a month. For you, perhaps it's ok so long as you don't overindulge. Who doesn't like fatty foods? We should have a balanced diet. Most importantly, eat more fruits and vegetables, this's the key to maintaining a good health.

Hi, I seldom eat those fried foods, too oily and not good for health. I also seldom dig on those fastfood, once a while is fine for me,but not everyweek,or else, I may have a bad sore throat by eating too much fried food. I prefer to have vegetables for my meal, It is good to eat more vegetable than those fried food in our meal everyday.

I love eating fatty foods. Recently, my boyfriend and I have been going on food trips and discovering new and yummy food that usually has a lot of fat in it XD Last week, we indulged ourselves in eating pizza, pasta, burgers, fries, etc. I was mortified when I saw that I gained 15 lbs x_x so I'm definitely gonna have to start a diet soon. It's gonna be hard but I'll try what Tyra Banks did to lose weight. Allow yourself to eat your favorite foods but do it in smaller portions - basically, don't be greedy about what you eat XD It's all about moderation. Just as long as you don't eat too many fatty foods, and maybe eat healthy food in between, then it'll be fine.

My cholesterol level is a bit higher than the normal level so I have to stay away from foods high with saturated fats. When I eat pizza or indulge in ice cream, I eat only a bit just to satisfy my cravings. Yest it's appropriate if you include in your meal some meat once a week.

a little chocolate has proved to be good for you as it contains antioxidants and yes indulge once a week o f the food that you know is not all that great for you as otherwise you will find yourself breaking all healh ruldes and eating way too much of this fatty food like too many hotdogs or hamburgers and not enough of lean meats and veggies and fruit and wholw grains too.

I think that if you were to completely cut all fatty foods out of your diet, then you would go through a lot of withdrawl. That said, I know that there are a lot of things that we probably shouldn't eat and I choose to eat those things in moderation now where I used to eat them freely. By saying that, I've cut a lot of fried things out of my diet, but I do tend to indulge in them from time to time. I think this is the best way to keep a healthier diet.

i'm trying to lessen the intake of fat.. actually i've tried to not take too much fat after all... just this past 3 months i only ate 1 slice of pizza because our boss bought a box... i ate it because everyone was eating and i haven't gone to a pizza parlor for that long. for hamburger, i just ate one this week.. its hamburger with chili con carne... okay its not healthy i know and i feel very guilty but i was hungry urggh... cookies, ice cream and chocolates... in this food category i'm proud to say i don't crave for these foods and haven't eaten one for the past few months. yehey for me!!! i like eating veggies and chicken with no skin now and more on soups to make me full [or fool myself ]

I regularly those kinds of foods in a week but not too much in every meal. I guess that was just okay as long we also eat other healthy foods that doesn't contain these bad fats and maintaining a good and balance diet we should be fine. Keeping in shape by doing some exercise may also help burn these fats so it won't be stored in our bodies instead. Keeping an active and healthy lifestyle would bring us good health in the long run and allowing us to eat these bad fats without getting the bad effects into our body. -)
