When your toothbrush is getting to the end of it's tooth brushing life, what do you do with it?
Do you throw it away?
Well don't it is the perfect tool for cleaning, I have one attatched with an elastic band to all my kitchen and bathroom cleaning sprays 0 they are perfect for cleaning around taps and in the cracks of tiles etc!
Try it, they're VERY handy.

When our toothbrushes wear out I usually put them in my gadget drawer after disinfecting them of course. I like to use them to clean around the bathroom sinks to get a good scrub on them and to get down in the creases and stuff. I also scrub my can opener with them. They are great for giving a good scrub to small surfaces. Also great for cleaning grout on tiles, but I don't have tiles any more so I don't use the for that anymore.

Hi,
I never throw away my old toothbrush, it is a handy brush for me
to clean the corner of bathroom or kitchen.
Sometimes, when I am trying to brush those corner in my bathroom, it
is out of reach by using the big brush,so I will use those old
toothbrush to clean the tile and it does help me alot in my
housechores.

I just throw my old toothbrush away. If I wanted to use a toothbrush for house cleaning then I would rather use a brand new toothbrush. I would just buy another toothbrush that hasn't been used if I wanted to use it for house cleaning.

I agree with you 100%.... I save the old tooth brushes to clean because they can get into those hard to reach places. When I Ger a new brush to clean with, I throw the older one away. It's worn out by then anyway. Just a couple of weeks ago when I painted our master bathroom, I cleaned it from top to bottom and the old toothbrush cleaned the grout in the shower stall making it look almost brand new. It really.looks good in there now.

I clean the grout lines in the bathrooms with my old toothbrush. I also use the old ones to clean around the faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Hiya chem,
That´s a very good idea but right now I use microfibre cloths for cleaning awkward places and they do a really good job and they last ages as well. Much better than anything else I have ever tried. Also they do not scratch the surface.

Hello oldchem1,
Most of the time I throw them away unless I need to clean a tight space or creavice etc... then I will use it and throw it away. yes, cleaning around the taps is use of the toothbrush and the grout on tile in bathroom too.
They are also good to clean off the stove pieces that pots sit on too!
Thanks and have a great day!

i pitch it in the waste basket. it's no use. it's a time consuming to use. when i clean, i always use bigger tools.

Great tip! I actually use new toothbrushes (from the dollar store) to clean grout, tile & such, but I am always looking for ways to go green and save money, so I will follow your suggestion from now on--and pass it along, too!

No I don't throw my toothbrush..I am doing the same thing as you do. I use it for cleaning too.. Cleaning inside of my rubber shoes, comb, bathroom, same as yours...save a penny for recycling a toothbrush, it's very useful!:D

Indeed they are great cleaning tools! Here's a trick a friend told me - After putting on mascara, use the brush to brush the lashes, and voila, no clumps! Just perfect lashes
