What would you like to have written your epitaph, what you want to be remembered about in life.
I remember reading about Andrew Carnegie, what he had written on his tombstone was..."here lies a man who surrounded himself with people smarter then himself" I thought that was a great one.
The inspiration for this discussions comes from a free online financial planning course I am taking offered by Brigham Young University.
I am still considering mine, most likely something along the line of ... Here Lies Chysom, a person who always left a lasting positive impression on others...or something very close to that effect.
What about you?

Wow, .. great to remember the Carnegie ..
and, your own is great too. .. just remove those dark-glasses, and the impressioni lasts longer.
For me, Unfortunately, our religious practices do not allow any epitaph.. I presume. we burn the mortal remains. So that nothing material should remain. Only memories.

heheheh. ABOUT THE glasses.
now, I would like to be remembered as the Compassionate Healer, who helped a lot many sick people. of the mind, body and soul.

The dark glasses broke in half over a year ago...
What would you like peoples memories of you to be?

Awesome guy!!
And are you going to have a golf bag memorial to go with the epitaph?

When I decide to withdraw from the physical dimension I am going to go to a meadow in the wilderness somewhere and leave my body where the wild animals can make use of it. My hair would make a warm and cozy nest for a whole lot of beasts! What a waste of good food and building material to crate it up in a box and bury it in the ground!

A grand use of your physical remains!
Was there anything you would wish to be remembered for though?

"Here lies me. I TOLD you I was sick!"
Nah, I don't know what mine should say except maybe something about being a truly honest and caring person. I've been hurt and had brief thoughts of revenge but have never acted on them. That's about the worst thing anyone could say about me, my brief thoughts that vanish as fast as they come.
Maybe something like, "Here lies... She was too trusting" or "Here lies the original smiley face" which is what my stepfather always called me since I do smile quite a lot.

I like that original smiley face. Its...original. LOL, I feel silly just typing that, but it is what I would say.
Is there anything in life you would like to be remembered for?

Well, this is something that we used to have to do as an assignment when I was in high school. Although I can't remember what I said what mine would be at that time, I believe that I would think it was lame looking back on things.
At the point that I'm at in my life today, I really think that mine would probably have to read: "Here lies Dorann, a woman who always thought about others more than herself."

That is phenomenal, thinking about others is a great way to live. Now, are you happy with what you will be remembered for?
