phone calls

Hello snowy22315, I hear you and feel the same way. My daughters use facebook or e-mail to contact me or here at work this number. I heard many people are doing away with land line with cell phone use etc... and the computers. Remeber the day where there were payphones every where and now there is hardly any left at all. awhh,,. i wish i could call you. well, i do get phone calls from friends and family but not that often. but i like it that way than no calls at all. yes indeed, sometimes we do need those calls from them, to let them know how we are doing and likewise how thay have been. tcare and God bless!^^

Actually, I get very few phone calls... but I'm ok with that. I keep in touch with people online via email, IMs, Skype... but not usually with phone calls. Once in a blue moon, I chat with my sister on the phone. I really prefer to keep social communication online because I don't have a lot of free time and, unless I can run around with the cordless phone and still get things done, I am not good with stopping and spending time on phone calls. Like you mentioned, too, most of the phone calls I get are solicitation. I screen those. Don't even answer them if I can help it.

There are times when I'd like to rip my phone out of the wall. It seems like I always get a ton of calls when I'm busy trying to get something done. I've gotten to the point where I just let the machine get it and call the person back later if it was important. I will admit that I don't like to talk on the phone due to my former line of work and having to be on the phone a lot for it. I will clarify that and say it wasn't telemarketing.

Well presently I am busy with the launch of my Collage Magazine .So I am getting a hell lot of calls of my friends and committee members.Now I have become selective in my approach to attend calls.Usually we all friends chat from Gtalk so need of phone calls.
