Customer Service or Technical Support?

What is your inclination between the two? to provide technical services or to give a 100% customer satisfaction?

I was a customer service representative for 2 years before I got promoted. So my inclination is to give a 100% customer satisfaction all the time if I can.

Good for you that's how you get promoted. Some people are not that good though.

Customer service is providing good service and make customer satisfied with the issue he/she is having onhand..It is assuring and convincing customer that the issue will be solved with so much talk which take a lot of patience especially to irate customers. While technical support deals with specific product to fix. Its a double job which you need to think of the solution how to fix the product as well as giving them good customer service as to make customer feels good and satisfied with the service..

Well to me customer service is just to help the customers on small issues . Where as technical support would be the experts who know how to fix big problems where they wouldn't have time for little ones. Which is why you need customer service.
