Been quite a week!

It started with my son leaving for school on Monday. He calls and says he is stranded 40 minutes from home, 5 minutes from school. I had to go pick him up, and he had to find someone that could go get the car. The garage told him it was the fuel pump. He changed it and still would not start.
Tuesday, got a ride to school. On the way home he received a call about a job. It is close to the school and starts Thursday. No car, but now a job. Put 2 parts on finally running but still has check engine on.
Went to hospital with a friend. She was having a minor surgery, but was scared they were going to find more. Thank goodness that was ok.
I got in my van, and it sounded a rocket going off, great an exhaust leak, took to get it fixed. $80.
Been a very expensive week, I hope it slows down.

Well, I can see a couple of good things. The job, the friend who could help some with a ride. Your van probably cost $80 that you could not afford, but I am glad that it is not $800. I hope it slows down for you, too, as you have plenty of other things to deal with. I hope it was not pouring rain or anything when your vehicles acted up.

Of course it was raining. All I keep thinking is it could be alot worse. It just needs to take a break for now.

Of course. Why even ask. Cars never break down when the weather is mild and perfect.

Thanks, I will tell him. He already changed a map sensor and now is going to replace the connector it hooks to. He did make it to school this morning.

So many things can go wrong with cars today with every thing haveing chips in them.
and things I never heard of growing up .
My son is a machnic and he knws about all this stuff he has people calling him going over the road tell him what is happening and he tells them what to look for gets them home!.
If you have any questions let me know I will try to get ahold of him to see what he thinks. ok?
might take awhile for NOW he owns his own tractor and does hauling of box cars. Had to buy his own truck for afterthe back operation he couldnt get a job seems he was to qualified for what tehy wanted.

I've had a couple of bouts like that...my first was a car breakdown but things got rather worse as a result. The next thing was my Dad doing things he shouldn't and my brother acting like a drama queen as a result and coming up to stay with Dad for a while. He brought Dad here for a visit and treated me very badly. Then my daughter rang the night before she was to visit me for one of our special mother/daughter visits to say my granddaughter, her niece, was in serious trouble and had to come with her. I won't go into details there but the whole family has been disrupted as a result of this kids behaviour.
At least we know that we are alive. I never complain about being bored these days because nothing is farther from the truth.

I hate when drama starts. It never seems to let up around here. My son got a speeding ticket coming home from work last night. He has to go to court, since he is a minor. I hope he doesn't lose his license as he works 45 minutes away from here.

If your son gets a chance to speak to the judge tell him to apologise profusely and that he now understands the futility of speeding...it's not worth losing his job over or having to pay someone else to take him to work. If he is really contrite and can convince the judge the judge will likely let him off with a caution. Best of luck.

You have certainly had a week. As they say when it rains it pours. I hope for you it all calms down now. Hopefully for both of us!!

He is so excited. I just hope we can figure out what is wrong with the car, and keep it running. It is not like it is just across town. I am ready for a vacation.

Such is life, as my mother in law always said. Let's hope your run of bad luck is over! I'm so glad you're friend's hospital visit turned out well! That was your gift to make up for all the rotten things that happened that week.
Cars are so expensive to fix! I hope your son's car behaves until he can save up some with his new job for its upkeep. That's great that he found a job so close to school.

It was a great gift. His job is in the field he is taking in school. He has to start as a clean up person but can go right up the ladder.

I can relate! This week we have been reconciling our finances and made the discovery that we have overspent yet again and when we came to terms with that and worked out how we would repay our credit card bill one of our cats got sick and cost us $174 at the vet! Now we are in further debt, my daughter’s birthday is coming up and she has an appointment with the orthodontist next week...Ahhhhhh!!!

Those are without the worst kinds of weeks that there can be. I've been lucky that we haven't had one of those in a while (knock on wood) of course I did take the cat to the vet's yesterday and they wanted me to get almost 100 dollars worth of medicine for her incision and I really didn't think that she needed it. These were pain relievers, e-coller and stuff like that. I told them I'd call on Monday about it, in the mean time I am going to talk to a friend of mine that is a vet in another city and see what she says about it.

I am glad you haven't had one of these weeks, but you better knock on wood. Did you find out anything from your friend?

Oh yeah your week sort of sounds like mine. The old phrase that when it rain it pours as it definitely has thunder oin our camps friend. I know that everyone says to us that we should be thankful that we are breathing. Although at the moment breathing sounds nice but we have to deal with the circumstances right then.
I hope the rest of week get better for the both of us and I happy to read that your son has a job, hooray and your friend did not have anything else wrong during the surgery. I will pray for the both of us get some relief. God Bless.

hope your week gets better too! Things could be alot worse. It is just that money around here is so tight at the moment, but it definitely could be alot worse than it is. Just frustrating. This is my son's first real job, other than odd jobs he did during the summer. He is excited. That will not last long.
