Today I make the last payment for a credit that was a burden for me. It was not a mortgage one :)) But with the rising prices of everything, especially the food here, the last months I was almost in panic. Now I feel happy and free! Not that I don't have other problems, but this one lasted too long. Have you been in such a situation?

Good job on that one! I am still working on being debt free and sad to say, I'm still failing miserably.
Did you have a strategy on how you paid it off?

Well, it was an installment credit - I had to pay fixed amounts of money every month - five years! Two months ago for the first time I delayed my payment and I got phone calls from the bank every day! I pay another credit too but the payments are much smaller. And I don't have credit cards, I think this is a temptation :))

So many people pay just the minimum payment on their credit cards as they think that they are paying only a small fee every month.THe real truth is that they get you in the long run and even if you do not pay back the principal they will get the money back in interest over time and you will still owe them the principal.I think that credit card companies take advantage of college students and people that have familys as their are the primary audience for credit cards.

Alas i have credit card debt like so many and am working to clear that debt and stop using the cards for a while. Once you get the cards they become almost second nature an you end up using them for almost everything from buying electronics to even buying fast food. I have around 5 to 6 thousand dollars on several credit cards and am making only minimum payments on them.I am stoping this right now and going to make more than the minimum payment as i want the debt and mountin interest to stop.I am in college and like so many otheres got carried away with my spending.Hopefully i can get my fianances back in order and stop paying all that interest.

The good news is, two more payments, and my transferred credit card balance from earlier this year is gone. The bad news is, I had to transfer more balances over there. Still, better to pay them off at 0% and/or 3.99% than the outrageous percentage on the original cards.
