Alright parents, what have been some of your most profound moments in parenting your children? Maybe a lesson they taught you that you didn't expect or a characteristic they modeled in a certain circumstance that surprised you. What is the deepest way your child has affected your life?

There have been many moments like this in my life where my daughter has really made a profound impact on my life. One of the things that stands out to me the most is the fact that when she was three years old, she pointed at a building when we were taking her to her grandparents house and said "There is smoke coming out of that building." Well, then the next day we had to go pick her up from their house because she had been involved in an accident and needed a trip to the hospital and when we were on our way to their house, that building was on fire.

I've posted about this before... it was a few years ago, when my now 5 YO son was 2 1/2.
I was having a heck of a morning, already noon time, still in my nightgown, hair wasn't combed, breath smelling of coffee, and deep into year end processes of home business. My little guy needs a diaper change, so I go in and change him, worrying whether I saved the last document, completely focusing on everything but my sweetie, and I stand him up to pull his pants up. He puts his little chubby hands on, places one on each cheek, sort of pulls me into focus, looks me in eyes and says, "you bootiful, mom."
This moment will forever be etched in my mind... I think I even wrote it in his baby book!
