strangers who show kindness

I had a wonderful experience today while waiting at the hospital during my husband's surgery. I was in the waiting room by myself with our little six month old. Needless to say, I had my hands full and was finding it a challenge to care for a baby and my own needs in such a limited space. Then a blessing happened. A kind lady who was also waiting struck up a conversation with me, we chatted for a while and enjoyed each other's company. I suppose through our interaction she observed how tired and stressed I was and she offered to go get me a cup of coffee, I gladly accepted and tried to give her money to buy it but she declined. She brought me coffee, cream and sugar, helping me situate myself in a way that I could comfortably enjoy it. A couple hours later, when we were both still waiting, she went and bought me a snack and got me more coffee, all the while refusing any compensation. I don't think she knows what a blessing she was to a harried mother, but I hope she receives her blessing back 100 fold. I also hope that someday I can be such a blessing to someone else. I'll look for the opportunities.

We expected to have kindness bestowed on us by our friends. We might even expect it from those we are acquainted with too. When a stranger shows us kindness, we are often leary of it. just because someone doesn;t know us does not mean they can't show us a kindnes.

this reminds me of the movie "pay it forward". nice! i love things like this. we show care and kindness to people whom we dont know, and pay it forward to others who needs help. little things domatter to other people.
there was this one incident that i could recall, i was on my way home, and had to ride a boat. upon my arrival at the pier, I was so exhausted, money is short, and was so depressed that i wanna scream. more so, i have heavy loads, and i wanted to ask the boat attendants to help me, but they insist to have the porter asstist me. i was pissed since i dont have enough money to pay the porter, i just wanna go home. so i went inside the boat and look for the captain. suprisingly, its like seeing an angel, the captain smiled at me and asked what my problem was. i told him everything and how his crew were so unhelpful. he flash a concerned smile and ask the crews that was with him to have my bags carried to my deck.
it felt so relieved about it.
after that, about months or weeks after, i tried to look for that captain but it seems that no one knows him. it was so wierd.
probably he was my angel.
i do help people when they are ineed, and if there was anything that i could help them. i know, i dont have to wait for them to pay me or the likes, for i know if i was also in the same situation they're in, i know there would always be someone who'd always be a blessing in disguise. it feels great to help.
let us always extend our hands to other in need.
life is great!
and it is wonderful when we live in love and harmony.
tcare and God bless!^^

Isn't it great to know that there are still kind people in this world? This, in my opinion, is an instance of a time when God sent an angel to help you in a time of need. Rest assured, there will come a time when you know it is your chance to be another's angel. All you have to do is listen.

Aw, what a kind woman. People like that are really good, they deserve much of our gratitude and a lot of blessings. I haven't had an encounter with such person, but hopefully when I do, I'd be able to show how thankful I am. We need to help each other as much as we can, because the world revolves to all of us.

Hello Jwidman3! I think that persons like the woman who ran into you, are put here on earth to show that our own example can really change the face of the world, and that if you show interest and care and help, you are not week, but are a real support for the person in need!

That was a great and touching story, this lets us know that there one who looks and cares for us at all times but let me ask you,you said you look towards having such opportunity to bless someone else, the question is would you be able to recognize it when it comes because it may come in a different way you may not like so how would you know that?
Lol Thanks for sharing this story.

I am happy to hear your experience with the kind lady. But....I want to give you a caution. There are people who act as helping with kindness and try to cheat. This, only as a precaution I want you to take. I have come across several cases like this. When ever a person s alone or needing help such people take it as opportunity to cheat. I can give you an example. My grand father who was around 90 years old was waiting near a supermarket to buy some articles. One young man came and started talking with him with sympathy, and offered to help him to buy the store. He asked him to sit comfortably and went to buy the item. My grand father offered him to take the money for the purchase. Although , initially he refused, he did take the money and along with my grandfather's hand bag. My grand father was waiting and waiting. The person never returned! I am giving this cheating case only to caution every one who reads this to be cautious while dealing with strangers. All may not be as good as the nice lady.

That is certainly great to know. I know that there are still people out in this world with golden hearts. The thing is, there are a lot of bad things happening out there. We read it in the newspaper, hear it the radio and watch it in the news. Due to this, we lost trust in most people and often close our doors for those that can share with us their golden heart due to fear that we may become victims of certain people who has nothing to do but do harm. I hope too that such person you encountered will have more blessings in life and that you will likewise have the opportunity to pay it forward.

That is a very sweet story and I am glad that there are so many sweet peole still left in the word I tell you the bad like only 10% give everyone else a bad name and then people start to think everyone is bad and don't do much good themselves. I'm glad this person did this and that you are going to do the same for someone else I really believe the pay it forward way of life.

These are some of the instances that God makes use of people and situations to sow you His tender care and consolation. You merited this for your commitment towards your family. Yes by giving we shall never run short but it will multiply, we need faith and courage to expand ourselves for our neighbors.

You have been touched by an angel for all the blessings you have given out. And for alot more you would give you'll receive as much. Touching experience.

that's really a what we call a heart warming experience. with what's happening in our world today, wherein so many negative things happening and that you cannot easily trust people, still you can see the goodness of that person even though she don't know you personally she still helped you without having a second thought without expecting something in return. that's one trait the each one of us should have, the willingness to help. kudos to that lady!!!
