I remember our first dog died. We don't cry but we are very sad. Is it normal to cry when your dog die?

I think it is normal if you are very attachted to the dog we treat our dogs like they are part of the family and keep them for 15 or more years until they die or we need to put them down so it can be very sad when we have to say good bye to them my family even barries them in a coffin like box with a marker and we will visit the grave sometime.

If we treat our dog as a family and friend we cry because we believe that we lost one of our family members. We miss them too...

Yes, of course, My dog is turning 6 years of old next year. And when i watched Hachiko (the true story movie about the loyal dog and waited for his master to come back for more than 10 yrs and he don't even know or understand that the master already passed away and the dog still keep on waiting). I cries a lot even now and then when something reminds me about the story. I treat my dog as if he is my little brother or as my own son already. We took a bath together. When I wake up in the morning he is the first one that i want to see. When i arrived home he is so happy. Even in his simple way to approach us just like he want to say something I understand all his gestures. His name is "Nike". He has a white check on his neck and black and white color around his body. I love him so much.

Oh, you have a loving dog. I remember also my dog named "cotton", he really wanted to go with me everwhere I go. We need to close the door for him not to run. or else your getting late in your appointment catching him. I really miss him!

I cried when our last dog die. I cried so much that the next day my eyes are so puffy. My coworkers were even worried what made me cry so hard to make my eyes so puffy like that.

of course it's normal. if you didn't, that would be abnormal. dogs are such a huge part of your life, and bring so much love and happiness. to not cry when you lose so pure a soul would be heartless.
