have find ever realise that for example Oscar have been unfair by not giving an award to the one merit? not oscar or may be other awarder. For example it may happen everybody have appreciated an actor/actress excellent peformance in a movie and the award winner chose another actor did act at same excellency and potentil? Will you care or ignore?.. this did happen for bollywood actress and actors with filmfare award.

I'm a film student so I'm almost required to watch the Oscars. The films nominated for Oscars are judged by film industry professionals, not the public. So what the public sees as a great film or great performance doesn't always match up with what the judges for the Oscars think. Most of the time they like to take a choice that is less popular... I'm not sure why. Maybe to get people to watch more movies they wouldn't normally instead of going for what's popular.

i know what you are saying but its not necessary to learn the film indusry to be able to appreciate of find out the artists withgrreat potential. A person watching films more than 10 years have that capability to recognise a high potential actor from the average one

I agree with allyoftherain. We all have our preferences of course, but they're biased and as we're not film professionals, we really don't know what goes beyond the standards of a regular film. It's rare that we see the faults, the strong points, and the weak points of the movies, because we're really not adept in the technicalities of films.
I also have actors and actresses whom I think performed better than the oscar winner. It's sad yeah, but I just think that maybe those who voted in the Oscars understood or felt something that I didn't from the performance of the winner. I just don't think that they're doing it because they want to popularize the movies.

Not really, If they won the award it means that they are the chosen one and that is the destined to happen. But not all the winners are winner. And not all the losers are loser because we gain experiences. It's depend on the person. Change your mindset and all of the things will be fine as soon as you want it to be.

It's no surprise. The award is like a banana in front to the monkeys. Some monkeys get bigger, some get smaller, some totally have nothing.
I just consider it's a kind of standard to choose a film, but not only standard. It's life in our ordinary life. Some people maybe not excellent, but get more than others.
The typical situation is in our working places. Some employees get the rewards they are not worthy.
