The dress was certainly more revealing than it needed to be, but something you see on TV very often. On one hand I think that most little children won't make anything of it. However kids that are a bit older or more mature (if joining younger sib for the show), may start to see Katy perry as a role model for proper dress. That would not be good.
Stars like Katy Perry should be willing to leave behind all their fame and Hollywood glitz when they enter the world of children. If she was on the show because she thought it would be good for her fame, then she should not have been there at all.
Should they have pulled her from the show? That was their choice and I would not want to take that choice away from them. The producers have the entire long term perspective to be concerned with, whereas Katy is thinking about one show.

Many kids choose poor role models anyway. Why make it worse?

I saw the episode clip and for me its not that sexy especially for children. it doesn't even show cleavage, its just low neckline.

I didn't have a problem either way I guess. Obviously, the dress isn't appropriate for a children's show. But I think the age range of the children who watch the show, wouldn't really take notice of her cleavage. But then again, maybe I'm underestimating the observation skills of little kids.

I think it was ridiculous to pull her off. If you take a kid to the mall or a walk down most streets, they'll see MUCH worse. How about going to a public swimming pool?

They should not have pulled her. Hell, some mothers dress worse than she does on that show. The kids dont seem affected by that. Everyone bashes her because she is popular. I dont see anyone bashing people in the mall, or wal mart, or food lion, etc. I have seen much worse there but it does not seem to affect my children.
