Which channel? Lol. I do sometimes fall asleep when I watch tv specially after eating or if I'm way to tired or too sleepy. The tv channel would always be in the news or in Nat Geo. Don't get me wrong, I love Nat Geo. I think it's the voice over that makes me fall asleep, haha... And when loud commercials are up I tend to wake up and then fall back to sleep again ones the news or the show is back again.

Hi! Yeah, I think that it also has something to do with the voice that makes me sleepy. Lol. Thanks for sharing.

- Yes, this is a common occurrence for me and sometimes it can be very annoying when I miss a program I was interested in! Thank goodness for video/DVD recording, as these days, if an interesting program is on particularly late, I will just record it to watch the next evening at a earlier time! If there were no recording facilities, as there wasn't when I was younger, I would miss most of the TV I was interested in! When I was younger, I never fell asleep unless I had gone to bed, and that tended to be quite late a night! _Derek

Hi! It's good that there are video recording, lol, or a replay the following day or else we've missed a lot of good shows. Thanks for sharing.

This only happens to me when I am watching tv quite late like when I'm taking in a late night movie or something. There's nothing wrong with this but I guess your body is really telling you something when you start to nod off in front of the television. Whenever I reach this point though I have to give up on the film and I just make my way to bed and dive in! I normally get to sleep five or ten minutes later!
I have this habit of going to bed very late on Friday nights as I love watching late night movies then. Well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night once more. Andrew

Hi! When the movie is boring, even in the theater I also doze off. Lol. It's better to sleep than endure a boring movie. Haha... Thanks for sharing.

I do fall as sleep I watch television when I'm so tired. Like for example, I am watching a news of a particular channel then it happens that I am not interested with their news and so I just fell asleep. Then after that, I just realize that I slept when my auntie is going to turn off the TV then back to sleep until morning.

I used to when I was younger, it only seems to happen these days if I haven't slept well or if there's nothing of real interest on. I personally don't like falling a sleep until it's late, as I like to make the most of the days and it frustrates me when tiredness creeps in.
Hasn't happened for a few months, I think the last time I had a really bad cold and I tried to watch television to take my mind of it.

hi fanotsmarichrs it does not seem too matter what is on the
tv downstairs, I usually fall asleep anyway as what they have
on is usually reruns and boring, the chairs are soft and very
comfy.

That's exactly what happens to me. If I'm very tired and it's late, I fall asleep for sure. It was a time when I was very stressed and tired and around nine o'clock I watched TV but couldn't stay long. I fell asleep in ten minutes. The fact of feeling sleepy after eating happens to me too. I think is something in connection with the gall bladder.

I don't fall asleep while watching t.v. However, I do feel sleepy sometimes. When I'm feeling sleepy while watching t.v. I have this habit of turning off the t.v. before I even begin dozing off.

I fall asleep sometimes too..when watching television. But there's no particular channel that I fall asleep on. It's because I'm also quite tired sometimes too. I just wake up if my kid turns of the tv seeing that I'm already asleep.

Sometimes I did. I love sleeping. Sleep makes me have a lucid mind. But when I was watching TV, sometimes I felt sleepy. I still tried to see. Sometimes, I closed my eyes and just heard by my ears. I didn't want to miss interesting films, hot news etc. But I realized that when I was sleepy, I can't do anything. It's best to go to bed. Now, I am very very sleepy. But I am still surfing the net. Well, I go to bed now. Have a nice day!

I usually do not fall asleep in front of the TV unless I am only totall exhausted, lile the other night I was nodding off at 7pm. My wife always falls asleep as does my brother.
This is irrating as I usually like to bed at a certain time and always end up watching a movie I really don't want to watch.

When I was pregnant with either of my children, I had a tendency to be able to fall alseep at the drop of a hat. However, since my children were born, the only place that I'm able to fall asleep on a regular basis is in my bed and we don't have a television in our bedroom. In addition to that, I can occasionally sleep on our couch, but that is only when it is dark outside and there are no lights or tv on in the living room.

My issue with falling asleep while watching TV is of a physiological nature rather than me being bored. See I work 2 nights a week, so normally during the week I sleep on the same schedule. So, no matter how hard I try or desire to stay up pass 7p.m. I am usually sleep.

No, but my father in law does... and he snore so LOUD!!! GOod thing we have another tv so I watch my fav. shows in there. I agree with you the voice is kind of sleepy. maybe because his voice is monotonous.
