my mother-in -law hates me 2 much..

I tried pleasing my mother-in-law for 25 years while she was busy telling people our children did not belong to her son. Forget pleasing her - get a new mother-in-law. It's worth the change.

I know of someone whose mother-in-law has so much hatred towards her. For just one simple reason. She finds her daughter-in-law a competition to her son's attention, care and love. Her husband is the only son thus no matter how much she tries pleasing her mother-in-law, the latter chose to ignore her. This mother-in-law just couldn't love her back but has a big love to her grandchildren. This mother-in-law looks down on her most of the time even when she does good things and tries hard to be a very good wife. These went on for years till one day when the mother-in-law got sick, she had no one to care for her but her daughter-in-law. From then on, she was able to return back the love that was given to her for years by her daughter-in-law and is still giving. Now they are best of friends. You can't force her to love you back but she will, in due time. Just let the course be and flow with the current. It's hard though especially if you're living under one roof.

well how come your mother in law hates you so much? is there something you did?

Hi, It is sad to know that your mother in law does not get well with you. Be it what happened, You still have to respect her as your mother in law and be a good daughter in law for her. I believe there must be some misunderstanding between both of you,that is why it lead to her hating you so much. Never mind...let 's have a good chat with her or buy her some gift especially on her birthday. Have you talked to your husband about this issue? Let's get it settle down ,so that, you will have a peace life with your mother in law.

I do not have this experience but i sympathise with you. I have read a story how a girl over came this and I have pasted it just for you!! I pasted it in my profile because I cannot cut and paste yet at discussions :( You can find it right at the bottom after 'comment from my friends'. It is just a story so it might work or it might not work but it holds a lot of sense. The girl in the story also has a very bad intention at first so please do not be offended as I have not read any other stories that really relates to your situation.
