Why they don't count as 4points if the player shoot it halfway?

Why they don't count as 4points if the player shoot it halfway. It is very uncommon and a fact that this is a miracle shot.

I think it's a good idea. Shooting halfway is so hard and many audience like to see it.If there are 4 points,it must be harder for defence,they should defence from halfway not from 3points' line.And the game will be more attractive.

yes, i think it's very unique and very interesting to watch to. Even in Philippines before they try to implement the 2points free-throw if you shoot at 3point line (only for 4th quarter with 3mins left).

i don't agree with a 4point half court shot because their way too hard to make on regular basis and players rarely ever go through with attempting the shoot unless there is a limited amount of time on the buzzer.
