Friends, there may not be any second chance, so enjoy every second of it to the fullest extent possible as you grow old and matured.
Here are the secrets of Old Age
Before middle age – Do not fear
After middle age – Do not regret
Enjoy Your Life While You Can
Do not wait till you cannot even walk just to be sorry and to regret, as long as it is physically possible, visit places you wish to visit.
When there is an opportunity, get together with old classmates, old colleagues & old friends.
The gathering is not just about eating; it’s just that there is not much time left.
Money kept in the banks may not be really yours. So when it is time to spend, just spend, & treat yourself well as you’re getting old.
Whatever you feel like eating, just eat, those foods which are good for health, eat often and more, BUT NOT EVERY THING.
Things which are not good for health eat less but once in a while, NO NEED TO ABSTAIN FROM THEM TOTALLY. When sick, please treat sickness with optimism, whether you are poor or rich, everyone has to go through the birth, aging, sickness and death. There is no exception, that’s life. Do not be afraid of death or become worried when you are sick.
Settle all the outstanding issues before hand; I am sure you will be able to leave without regret.
Let the doctors handle your body; you may donate your eyes and limbs after death.
God handles your life & loves you, but be in charge of your own moods , worries can never cure your sickness, prolong your life or exchange for happiness.
Don’t worry much for kids; they will make their own fortune.
Look After Four Old Treasures 1. Your old body – pay more attention to health, you can only rely on yourself on this.
2. Retirement funds – money that you have earned, it is best to keep them yourself.
3. Treasure every moment with your other half, because one of you will leave first.
4. Seize every opportunity to meet up with your friends; such opportunities will become rare as time goes by.
Remember, running water does not flow back.
So with friends, your better half, your kids, near and dear ones, you must laugh, dance everyday and be happy always. It is life, make it happy!
ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE

I like your philosophy, Professor. Being someone who is getting on in years myself, I find that I have changed my outlook on life immensely. An old friend who I grew up with phoned me recently, and during the course of our conversation he remarked on how few of us were left from our high school class. We both agreed that it is important to live each day as though it were the last; do the things that give you pleasure; keep family and friends close if at all possible. In regards to health matters, no one knows our bodies as we do, so we should be alert to signs and symptoms that something is just not right. With food, as everything else, moderation is the key. Thanks for a very insightful discussion.

You are so very right here. I certainly hope that I have a lot more life to live, but I also know that even though I hope that I have many years ahead of me, there is the possibility that my life could come to an end at any moment. That said, one of the most important things that I can do with my family is to spend as much time as possible with them. It is nice to have money in your life, but given the choice between time with my family and money, I would always choose my family.

oh professor you are the wisest of the wise. all that you say is true and when my friend, my best friend, says , do you need another top? I can say well maybe not but it was so pretty I just had to have it. I relished that purchase so much.and I have found laughter every day does away with any doldrums.I am a widow so now I treasure my son and my best friend. So I am enjoying every moment of my life as why not its a lot of
fun too.I have learned nobody can make me happy but myself.I am a bit of a slacker at doctor appointments but you havemade me realize I must take care of me myself and the better I do this the healthier I will feel.thanks for a lovely discussion.

Hi,
Yes..we have to enjoy our life as we still are able to do it.
Whatever we have in mind, let's get it done before it is too late and
we will feel regret in future.
Life is unpredictable...now we look fine, but the next day, we won't
know what is going to happen. Therefore, treasure your loved one and
the things surrounded you.

I am also thinking to that end. I am now in my early 50s and wish to spend a lot of time with my family but most of all on 'ME' time. After all the years of hard work it is only fair that I spend the fruits of my labor going out to see the world. We can never predict when God is going to unplug our life so we should make the most of the present and let tomorrow takes care of itself.

You are soooooo CORRECT!!!
ENJOY life while you're young & healthy!!!! Yes, there may be a certain amount of caution needed to stay out of trouble, but you should still have FUNNN!!!!
As you get older, do ALL those things you wanted to do when you were younger, but never had the chance to do...and do it while you still can!!! My parents kept putting off traveling until they retired. Then they put off traveling because they were too busy. Then they couldn't travel because their bodies had just given out!!!
NEVER leave a loved one without telling them you love them!!! Since we can't have a clue when our last second will be, I make it a habit of telling those I love "I love you" before leaving their company. This doesn't matter whether you're young or old!!! I learned this when I was only 25. My girlfriend was married to a man she loved dearly & they had 2 beautiful children. They had a major disagreement one morning before he left for work & said some mean things to each other just before he left home. Sadly, he was killed in a wreck before he arrived at work & she never again had the chance to tell him she loved him. That was a burden she carried for years!!! I NEVER forgot the added grief she carried with her & I made it a habit to say "I love you" whenever I left the company of somebody I cared about!!! When I married my last huibby, he had the same habit. So no matter how mad we were with each other, we ALWAYS said "I love you" before going anywhere. As a matter of fact, our habit included never going to sleep without saying "I love you". That turned out to be a good thing as he went to sleep one night & didn't wake back up. The last words we spoke to each other was "I love you" & that helped me get through my grief. To this day, my final memories are of our love for each other!!!

Yes, that certainly makes a lot of sense! I try to do that although I struggle with it at times! I better add that I'm only thirty-five years of age so I'm not touching the door of old age as yet! I live a quiet life and there isn't much happening in my life so there is a tendency to become bored quite easily. However, I do enjoy regular cycling and swimming and this at least keeps me from going mad or entering the world of insanity!
I like to try and look after myself as best I can and it is my sincere hope that I remain able bodied well into old age! There are so many diseases now that it's almost likely that you will contract some kind of disease once you reach pensionable age. I hope this isn't the case with me! This is why I'm working really hard now at trying to keep fit with my cycling and swimming. I also read a lot and I think this is a good tool to use in terms of keeping the mind active and nurtured. Well, I'm just about doing ok I think although I do experience days when I become a little depressed. Andrew

Thanks for providing nice tips here, on how we are to enjoy every moment of our life, when we started to grow old. It is truth that we should always trying our best to fulfilled as much of our wishes before it is too late. Because we never know when we are to left this world. Although i haven't reach the golden age, but i do always think about this matter. That's why, i always trying my best to spend more time with my family and relatives. Because our future is hard to predict and we never know who is going to left this world first.

We have to live our lives as richly as we can. We shouldn't let the moments of life pass us by. There are just some things that can not be recaptured. Live each day to the best of your abilities. We have to have appreciation for the world around us as we get older. Enjoying life has to be part of that process.
