The internet crimes division of our local National Bureau of Investigation is relatively new... I have not seen any prosecuted yet so far... I think they will go after crimes like cyber piracy, internet fraud, hacking etc. What other internet crimes that you know of? what does it mean?

There's phishing too, where the scammer tricks users into revealing personal information or passwords. Examples are emails that tell you to verify your bank account details, and provide a link to a FAKE bank website. They copy the look of the real website and if a user doesn't realise the URL is different, they may end up trying to log in on the fake website with their real details.
And there's also the online distribution of illegal material. There are stuff that are only illegal in some countries, like materials inciting hatred or violence or racial tensions, for example. The US constitution allows materials like that, I believe, but some countries prefer to handle extremist sites before a real problem arises. And then there's material that's illegal to distribute everywhere, which I shall not describe because I think the site automatically tags discussions with those words as "mature".

Quite alot actually. These are just some: all those you said, bomb hoax, terror hoax, inciting racial tension, inciting religious tension and the like. I believe it is good to have a watchdog over these things to maintain peace. With peace comes happiness.
