Today The Flintstones turn 50! Wow! I remember watching them on t.v. in the mid seventies. They were my third fave, behind Bugs Bunny and Rocky and Bullwinkle. It was a great sit-com and for All ages.My favorite episodes had something to with music. I loved the episode when Ann Margaret guest starred. And when Fred became a teen idol. classic. I have forgotten about the Flintstones. Now I wish I had them on tape. They were great. What is your favorite Flintstone episode?

Ooooh! Me too! I watched all of those, but the Flintstones remains my favorite childhood cartoon, still. Hmm... favorite episode? There were so many good ones, I don't even know if I can pick a favorite, haha. The teen idol one was definitely a great one, and so was the one where Fred was trying to buy a stolen piano for Wilma's anniversary present. Remember 88-Fingers Louie and the "hot piana"? LOL!
I wonder if the old episodes are available anywhere, to purchase? Now I am craving! :)

Oh, good point! I should definitely look there. They do have pretty much... everything! :)
So here's a questions. Can you remember which was the first episode ever? I don't. Maybe you do?

Well, yes, of course. I was just trying to keep some conversation going, but that's ok. :)

Although I saw all the recent movie remakes, I was young when the cartoons came out. And I don't remember a particular episode, but I remember particular scenes that could definitely be called a Flinstone original.
I remember Fred bowling, with his twinkle toes.
Along with cars, with the feet at the bottom, those where my favorite.
(Belated) Happy birthday!

I didn't see the live action movie. I just found out the cartoon was canceled the year I was born. Thank G-d for reruns, lol!

I loved the episode with Ann Margaret! I'm still able to sing the song and it was one of my favorite cartoons to watch with my daughter. Its one of the few that she would sit and watch the entire show without moving and my husband told me I had the perfect babysitting. It was a perfect time to prepare meals when an episode ran that I already saw many times.

I can't beleive the Flintstones are 50! Wow! I remember watching them while growing up! I remember when I recovering from my c-section,back in 1989,the Flinstones were on TBS in the afternoon. I always watched them before I took a nap! My favorite episode has to be when Fred playes Santa Claus at the Apartment store and ends up delivering presesnts for Santa! Later on I became a fan of the Flintstones version of "The Christmas Carol" which I see on like TBS around Christmas time!
