Do you believe that love and trust go hand in hand? How do you feel if your special someone says he/she loves you but can't trust you? What would you feel if you've been honest, loyal and faithful and pleasing your special someone but still can't trust you?
How can you say you love the person when he/she can't trust you. In my own opinion, love and trust go hand in hand. I believe that love and trust is gained and not asked and not being forced. But it will be painful to know that you've been honest and everything but still he/she can't trust you. How can it be a relationship when there's no love and trust at all?

You need to have love and trust together. Nothing else is being honest to yourself or your partner and the relationship you share.

Sometimes when a person has been hurt in a relationship by an untrustworthy person it takes them a long time to heal and a long time to find the ability to trust anyone again.
You're right, love and trust are essential for a healthy relationship and when people fail in either area it is hurtful and the consequences can last a lifetime.
