The fact that she cannot get her new password is probably because whoever hacked it changed the e-mail address to their own. That is scary as it could be related to identity theft. She should report this not only to Facebook, but to the police if anything strange happens.
My account has been suspended before and I am not sure why. I think it may have been in part due to too many false login attempts (somehow my password was changed). Luckily I have my Facebook account linked to my cell number so I am the only one who was able to re-activate it, directly from my phone, and changed my password.

I tell my friends this all the time, that when a person sends them a video that has some form of enticing message like hey you looked really nice in this video. It is because someone has sent them a key logger virus. Anytime someone send a video that you need to go away from your wall to view, like You tube for instance. If you are not able to view directly on your wall it is a virus. What this does is immediately key logs all key strokes and then what happens is that person takes over all your fiends and then sends out the email to all your friends as if it were you who were sending.
So your friends what they do is get enticed by this video that says hey you look rally hot in this video and guess what now all friends are being key logged and all their friends now get the video as well. It is a vicious virus and it has been going around for a very long time. Reason why face book is banning her account is because this person who now over took her account is utilizing it for marketing purposes per say and her account now is being reported and face book is not aware that the account has been hacked and they think it is her so they ban it. The only alternative is to restart another with another email address and please let her know that if she ever gets an email from her friends with 20 other people attached to the email to immediately delete it and not open it. If she forgets and does no biggy immediately log out and log back in and immediately change the password and she should be fine.
Good luck with that - hope this helps.

some times that happens becouse people share passwords, or try run a virus scan in your computer... some programans can get your password everytime that you type it. if she use lan house, tell her to look at the back of the cpu, is a device that bind to the mouse in the back, and it captures all passwords typed, or tell her to uncheck the option that says "remeber me at this computer".... i hope that i could help with something... have a nice day

Wow that is horrible. I mean once I can see but 7 times that is crazy. She needs to make sure she doesnt have easily guessable passwords like her name or things like that. She should also have at least 1 number in the password. I have never been hacked on facebook but I have seen plenty of my friends who have had it happen. I feel bad for them especially when their whole accounts get erased and they have to start all over.

if your daughters account still hacked until now. I guessed there is a trojan virus infected on your daughter's personal computer. try to tell her to do a scan for viruses and checked also for installed program that she doesn't know.
And tell here to use a strong password with alphanumeric and combine with lower and uppercase characters..

i'm sorry to hear that. there are softwares that are capable of viewing the passwords you entered for a specific site. cookies can also be used to store information entered in the computer. i suggest to clear the cookies and make sure to logout the account by the way.. hope the account gets unsuspended or better, create a new one and make it more secured this time. :)

it happened to one of my friend's... and its scary because the hacker ended up sending mass messages to us his friends in FB with virus in it and it really pissed us off... at first we just taught that it could be just an error on his computer or he has a virus and its sending automatic replies or messages.. then after a few days he sent us all messages to not open any messages he sends to YM and FB since his account has been hacked... does your daughter uses public computers? or you can try to check your internet it could be that there had been a fishing virus that got into it...

Yes my account was hacked once and someone apparently had my pasword and they were logging in my account. They were spreading the facebook virus to my friends in my friend list and all my friends were getting the facebook virus.I contacted the admins at facebook and they had my password reset and i put in a longer pasword. I really think that you are never really safe when using the web and you have to be on guard for hackers trying to get your info.

Yes, it happened to me once just few months ago. It appeared that during the time I was trying to login at facebook, there was somebody who hacked my account somewhere in Chile. There was a message which popped out that I need to change my password if I am the real user for that account because someone from Chile is trying to use it. I immediately changed my password. So far, I have never encountered such problem again with my facebook account.

I have never had my Facebook account hacked. I am on there usually every day. I used to get hacked into on AOL alot. I am not on there anymore. They did finally get it straightened out. I wonder if the person who hacked in to her account got her suspended or if they are doing this for a period of time until they get it figured out.

Yes, I've had my facebook account hacked but not this many times. I've never had my account suspended, either. My neice, who is also on facebook, told me about an antivirus program I can get to fix this. However, I don't have the program any more and I can't remember what the name of it was. It was a free program. If I could remember what the name of it was, I would tell you. Anyway, it fixed it. I'm sorry I'm not much help. I hope your daughter gets her problem straightened out.

Aw! Sad for her! Never happened to me but it did happened to my friend's father. He's a famous man and the hacker sent messages to his friend's list asking for some money. Good thing his friends figured out that my friend's dad won't do that kind of thing so they phoned him first.

Yes, I ever get hacked in there once.My primary account in there, with my email.
Lucky me, I have change my primary email before it get hacked.
Otherwise, I would lost everything.Including my Paypal and Alertpay. Now, I make my email password get more long and complicated.Combination (a-z, A-Z and 0-9), make more then 16 digits.I make it almost 21 digits, it will make more harder to get hacked.
For FB account, becarefully on picking apps, cause most of it doing from there.
Last time, one of my account get ate by COOBFACE and it get delete by itself. So becarefully in there.

As far as I know my account has never been hacked. I don't go on facebook very often. If one of my friends say they have posted pictures or something then I will go on, but that's about the only time. Actually I have been thinking of closing my account.
