which one will be the better

i bought a laptop i like 2 install woindows 7 os but my frnds said it will not support some of the software so i confused now..which will be thebetter windows 7 or xp. mylotters help me clear my confusion

Dont know your plans for using you computer but if it is not some windows specific games, go for Ubuntu linux it has way more device-support built in than any of listed windows versions.

yeah... I AGREE with u brack11, since i was using ubuntu lucid lynx too, now 90% i've been migrate to ubuntu, since my ubuntu is more beauty than my windows coz i install macbuntu packet on it, it looks like real MAC OS lol.... but still need download all kinds of codec for support multimedia systems. n then after i install all of codec, i try to watch HD movie. WOW its more dramatic than win 7, no need high resource hardware requirement, lol

y not install all of them if u have xtra money? Lolz if u try to install all of them, try to install win XP first, then install win 7 in different partition. if u try to install win 7 first then u install win XP, u can't boot your 7, because boot loader (boot manager) from win 7 not configure well since u replace it with clear boot systems win XP some programs from win XP still can run in win 7, if u try to install programs from windows XP for your 7, try to use emulator systems from windows update. since it was emulator systems, u can hope so much from it, the programs can't works well than if u install in real machine.
