Does the number three means something in the USA?

Three and seven are traditionally lucky numbers in Western society. I don't know why but it is certainly much older than Christianity (where you have the Holy Trinity, the three nails that nailed Christ to the cross and a number of other 'threes'). While three and seven are lucky, 13 is universally unlucky. The other numbers seem to have not nearly as much significance, though individuals may consider any particular number as their own lucky number.
