I take alot of photographs, mainly photos I upload to the internet, I do alot on ebay. I have had several digital cameras but I can't seem to find one that will take excellent close up pictures indoors at an affordable price. I have had 3 cameras in the past year one was a Kodak, one was a fugi and one was an off brand, The fugi lasted 4 months and wouldn't work anymore, the kodak works but doesn't take great pictures, the off brand name just takes poor quality pictures.

Hello, if you use cameras that much I suggest you buy an entry level dslr so that it would be affordable. It would take better quality pictures than your standard digital point and shoot cameras, and it would also last longer. Good luck!

hello, a dslr camera is also a digital camera but with a little difference in mechanism than your standard point and shoot camera's. professionals use dslr cameras. this are the one with interchangeable lenses.
maybe you should check out nikkon d3000, or maybe pentax kx. the price i think is $500 more or less. you could also choose to buy pre-owned dslrs so that they'd be cheaper. =)

If you do closeup you need cameras that can change lenses. If not, any camera with a lot of megapixel shooting photos at 3 to 4 feet distance will do just find for a great clear photo.

I would suggest cannon. I've never had but a dinky five dollar digital camera myself, but I've heard Canon is a good brand and a friend in HS had a canon camera for her photography class.

get a pentax kx. as a beginner, pentax kx is good at taking photos. it's a dslr but very cheap compared to canon, etc with its features.

I like Canon and Nikon brands. I have a Canon Elf, I believe (not quite sure the model on the top of my head) but I do have a Nikon D40 DSLR (it is a newbie model...) I am saving up for a Nikon D90 :) But I am not that great yet. D40 is about $500-600.
