We all know that the words of God is good, if we use it lawfully, let's read it in 1 Timothy 1:8 "But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully" Why do I said "misused"? Because some religious leaders established their own religion using the Bible, and teach contradicting beliefs and faith. That is why there are many religious denomination in our time. What can you say my fellow about the subject.

I think that the Bible leaves SO many things open to interpretation and there's really no one, besides God, who can say what interpretation is correct and which is wrong. I guess that's why there's so many denominations. I believe in Sola Scriptura, so I would prefer to go to a non-denominational church, but the fact is that we are all human, which makes us all imperfect. And that means that probably all our interpretations of the Bible are going to be imperfect.

Question for thought... why wouldn't there be someone beside God who can say what is correct? I mean - the bible is full of God sending people to set the record straight? Ya know - I'd assume there were periods when the people went Sola Scriptura, but frequently God would send someone else - and change some things in a Sola Dios kinda way. I'd love to hear what anybody thinks about this! :)

You know my dear fellows, the Bible doesn't need any private interpretation, in 2 Peter 1:20 it says "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation" See, the Bible alone has its own interpretation, all we should have to do is to search and read, let us read it in Isiah 34:16 "Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them" It's very clear, no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate. You don't even need Mr. Webster to interpret it. All words that is about spiritual being are already recorded in the Bible. It is complete and perfect.

Personally (key word here, haha), I think that if God wanted anything done He would have had it put in the Bible. Whatever was intended for us to know, it was already written. That's why in the Bible it says that anyone who adds on to the Word is evil and don't trust what they have written. I think that we will have the Bible until the apocalypse and that will be kind of like our "prophet", so to speak.

Let the Bible the basis of our faith, for us not to deceive by any one claiming they are of God. If you find that their doctrine is out of the scripture, discommunicate it. God doesn't recognise if it's out of his will, in Matthew 7:21 it says "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven"

God's Word is pretty simple and easy to understand. Jesus said "Love one another like I've loved you." That pretty much sums it up-just like "Love the LORD your God with all your heart, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus said that all the law is summed up in that one. http://edenstillwater.wordpress.com

You are right browneyedgirl. I wonder why some preachers making the Bible confusing. I know one church denomination in our country, one of their doctrine is not letting their members to read the Bible. According to them the Bible is only for ministers. That is a huge contradicting teaching because the Bible is for all, in Revelation 1:3 it says "Blessed is he that readeth...." If we follow their doctrine, it does mean that only the ministers are blessed because only they have the right to read the Bible. Obiously it's wrong.

Organized Religion, is the worlds Greatest Scam. Some enterprising apostles in early Palestine invented a scheme called Christianity to collect money and Power. OMG did this scheme work! later to make double or triple the money they changed the bible, took out what didn't suit, and added more that did. Now they could scare the people with the devil, purgatory, and hell-fire burning forever. This worked for hundreds of years and is just now slowing slightly. (People refuse to believe they will burn forever!) Anyway the Christian Church is the Richest most arrogant business organization the world has ever seen, and if you are wondering about its wealth, try adding up the Billions that have been thrown, haphazard, to the victims of child abuse, in a vain attempt to hush up crimes committed by the Church.

It's true, most religious leaders in our time are billionaire, and that is a proof that they are not of God because they do not follow the words of God. A true God's apostles will not be rich because one of God law is not to lay up the treasure upon earth, in Matthew 6:19-20 it says "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"

Bible is the word of God. God's word is as two edged sword. It divides those who deserve God's grace from the ones who do not deserve. Each person interprets God's word in a way that pleases him. Again and again it is written in the bible those who have eyes will see and those who have ears will hear. It means those who have eyes can be blind and those who have ears also can be deaf. Bible has a theme and that theme remains unchanged. John in his gospel at 1:1 had mentioned that theme. He said, "In the beginning was the word; word was with God and word became God." God had made a promise, he fulfilled his promise and he came to abide amongst men as His own son. The whole bible revolves around this theme. One who realizes this he would never interpret bible incorrectly.

Because it's god of this world blinded them, it's satan, not the God Almighty, in 2 Corinthian 4:4 it says "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them"

Diverse interpretation of the Bible is to be expected since people come from different races, backgrounds and line of thinking and the Quran and other books of faith are not immune from this. This reality produced Catholics, Protestants, Catholic Orthodox, Pentecostals, Baptists, Evangelicals, and in the Muslim world we have the Shiites and the Sunnis. Now there are so many ways people express their gratitude, worship, desire and yearning for God. Is it wrong to worship God and teach others about God's mercy and love based on ones interpretation of the Bible? Am I "misusing" the Bible simply because my teachings does not conform with the teachings of others? 1Samuel 15:17 says that God looks on the heart of man. Hence, I believe God will judge his creatures based on motive which only God can see in man's heart.
