Open GL on Intel?

I really want to play this game my friend told me about.... Minecraft, and I bought the game and everything, but every time I try to run it, it keeps giving me a "Bad driver" error. I suspect the problem that I have is related to my graphics card, I am playing this game on my HP Compaq 6710b laptop that has a Intel 965 chipset graphics card. Do intel cards support Open GL? The graphics requirement for Minecraft is very low, and so it is not a higher card requirement that is the problem.
