"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism."
So what do you think from this quote of the man who created a very awesome equation E=mc^2 which many in the world can recognize.
I personally think that Einstein is stating that in the future he sees the only religion to survive the answers of science is Buddhism. Now mind you he was Jewish.
I personally follow a spiritual path very close to buddhism. So I agree that Buddhism is without the dogma that other religions seem to be filled with.

Man is an image and likeness of God. God created man too. Therefore he is capable of perceiving the eternal Truths. All that man has scientifically explored is a proof of God's presence in Man.Ages will pass but there will not be an end to query who is God? and who is Man? God is infinite and man is finite. Therefore God will be for ever beyond human conclusion to explore who is He. Nothing is absolute God is absolute. He IS.

According to the Bible, before the original sin When Adam and Eve were by themselves it is God who used to come down to converse with them. God is transcendent and immanent. Man too is restless until he finds God. God seeks His children

People may say that Religion is not necessary and the they can go without it. Communism tried to obliterated it, but as soon as the iron grip was loosened it was discovered that it was still there all along. Religion had just gone "underground" and had thrived in spite of everything. Even the hated Jews were still there in surprising numbers.
Judaism will never die no matter how hard the world tries to obliterate it. If Judaism can survive, then any religion will surely continue.

I'll stick with Christianity. Beyond Einstein's human mind, Christianity has a Savior that eliminates the problem of sin and restores my relationship with God the Father - Creator of Heaven and earth.
Have a great day.

I'm not so sure. Granted, ol' Alby had more brain juice in his random sleep thought than I can muster at full capacity, but I'm not sure if mankind is going down the path he necessarily assumed.
Maybe in the distant future we'll be more "one" with the cosmos and spirituality and reality. But the break from gospel isn't working so cleanly. It's evident that most people need to believe in something. And whether they need to believe in a God or to believe that mankind is inherently evil and responsible for the planet's heating and all poor people, all someone needs to do is testify about it and millions of people fall in line and worship it.
Ironically, even the most anti-religious person doesn't necessarily question everything they believe. Most use faith like everyone else, even if it's only having faith in that what they've being told by leaders of their cause is accurate and noble.
Transcending a personal god, avoiding dogma and theology - only if one wants to quibble about what they put their faith in not being "dogmatic." And I think that's impossible for the masses in our current situation.
From the outside looking in, it's hard to tell most religions apart. And it's hard to tell a populous cause apart from a religion. They're both laid down by supposed enlightenment, and they're both followed in a to-the-letter but still relative way. And they're still at war with one another.
This would have to be far in the future.
I don't really think it's about surviving the answers of science. It's not about being "true" at all. Religion isn't about truth; it's about reconciliation and comfortability.
Einstein is supposing humans will evolve past self interest and reach a conensus of (our idea of) enlightenment? Ah... I'm not so sure.

The problem with all religions is you are getting so much of man's view of what they think God should be. Shouldn't one discover reality??? Shouldn't one search for God rather than depending on someone's religion to show you the way. Is it about discovering God or following religion?? Some people have a problem with a personal God. The simple truth is if they knew God, they would no longer have that problem. Do not picture God as religion will tell you. Discover for yourself. It's a test of intelligence. Science and God go hand in hand. God has very high intelligence. He is beyond the petty things mankind fuss and fight over. It's about knowledge and wisdom. The more you learn; the closer you get to God and understanding what it's all about. New knowledge springs new ideas and doors to be opened. Mankind has a long way to go. First we crawl then we walk. Until we can see what is instead of just what we want, crawling will have to do.
