Dress like your favorite anime characters or just dress in a japanese or Gothic way may be added your self confidence.. sometime i used to it and i discovered that it was fun.. i usually dress like japanese girl.. i only cosplayed once in our christmas party and i've Php2000.00 or $45.00 for consolation.. I wear sailor mars warrior suit.. how about you fellas.. do you cosplay? which character did you use?

There's a fairly big anime convention here every October, I've been there several times but I've only cosplayed three times. All the times I've cosplayed characters from Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, a really awesome mecha series :) The first time I cosplayed I went as Viral (that's him: http://i30.tinypic.com/10zbekg.jpg) , the second one as Adiane (that's her: http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/6997/adiane.jpg) , and the third one as Viral again. I had a lot of fun all the times I cosplayed. When I was dressed like Adiane I got a lot of attention, actually, many people told me my costume was really well done and wanted to take pictures of it :D

It's really nice to find cosplayers that have put a lot of effort in their outfits, it looks really awesome indeed :)

I have never been able to go to an anime convention since there aren't any around the area I'm living at. And I'm usually too busy by the time the one I want to go to rolls around. But even so, I don't think I'd be able to cosplay. I'm not too confident about my ability to pull a costume off. But it looks like it'd be a lot of fun to do something like this.

Haha...perhaps. I think I'd have to be in the right environment first though.

yeah, it's fun.. since you have a lack of confidence.. while not try to costrip.. it's just like changing your style or fashion.. try it... i tried it to myself and build up some confidence.. i remember the first time i costrip.. lots of people say that i'm cute.. and i'm really flattered.. to the point that i change my fashion, step by step..

It would be great to try, but don't have the guts. Besides, I think I'm old enough for that. I would just be one of the audiences, together with my kids.

maybe your kids will love to cosplay the characters they want to be.. I have seen lots of parents dressed their child so gorgeously.. and i'm telling you.. it's nice to see those children walking in the hallway... hanging around with other cosplayers then pose.. it's fun... really fun.. you'll enjoy it too..

I do not cosplay at all. I have never been to amime convention but I have been to muti-fan sci-fi conventions where amime is respresented. I have seen a quite a lot of cosplayers for both amime and other fandom like sci-fi show and comic book superheros. when I do go to any kind of convention, I usslay where blue jeans and dress shirt. I feel conformable dressed that way.

Well ive never been to a cosplay thing, though i do want to (there not popular in uk, at least, i dont know any). But i have never heard of costrip before, what is it? But if i was to cosplay, i dunno who i would go as. Probably Kakashi sensei, but the problem is i am quite dark skinned (but not black) and there isnt really anyone i can think of in any anime that is like that... Hmmm.... :P

costrip is like cosplaying but you're the one who build your own version anime.. isn't cool? there's a lot of anime who have a brown skin.. try to search samurai champloo.. something like that.. i can't remember the title.. haha... maybe it has an anime convention in your country yet didn't make a big fuss...
