wonder why do guys do this? another dumb one

i know when i'm out either driving or at the store. i notice there is plenty of guys who will walk around with their boxer hanging out.. and they are holding themself like someone is going to steal it..
do you do this and why would you wear your jeans like this and why do you hold yourself do you think someone might steal it or do you have to pee all the time ?

I noticed that, too, but was too shy to ask. There must be a valid reason for this. but here's my thoughts about it, they want girls to notice them holding it so as to make these girls think of it. Yay, silly thought. Or they wearing boxers because it feels fresher down there than wearing a brief but then it makes them uncomfortable feeling that something is dangling down there. Does it dangles all the time? Gosh, another silly thought...
I don't know, worst of my thought is, boxers make it easy to scratch something itchy down there. Eczema , perhaps?
