I see many discussions is difficult to respond. Recent days, I only responded some discussions. Many problems I don't know so I can't respond. And some problems it is hard to express in English. I have to choose simple discussions.
What about you?

I have the flip side of this my friend as some days I find it hard to understand exactly what a member is asking. So what I do if I truly feel I can be helpful is always start my response with; If I understand what you asking - see this way they know that I tried.
I do have days where I am too tired and perhaps unable to read a very long discussion so rather then commenting any rubbish on my behalf I will move on to something simpler. So you are not alone.

I see you have a lot of experiences on Mylot. I don't think you have the same problem with me. I am happy because I am not alone.

Oh no BichDiep, I have never had a problem what so ever reading your discussion. It amazes me that you sometimes post that you have difficulty with the English language, as it is clear that you are doing a wonderfully.
Keep up the great work, very soon it will naturally flow and you will not have to even think twice.

You are right! Most of the discussion topics in myLot are very difficult to be interpreted correctly. And this happens in common with the people whose mother tongue is other than English. Sometimes, there is some complexity in expressions that makes it more difficult, though the language used is easy. The complexity of the topics also depends upon the knowledge, interest and personality of the reader. One should choose those topics to which he/she can give response in a more clear and comprehensible way. So, the way you select topics for giving response to, is the best for you.
Enjoy myLotting!

Yes, many problems don't interest me, so I can't respond such as the movies I've never seen, the writers I don't know etc. And a section on cultural, social, political difference. It is very difficult.

It was the same case with me.. I was not so good in English and had find it difficult to respond to discussion or create a new one.. But then I started to check only those discussions that are started under the topics which are in my interests.. by doing this I get more of it that I know something about and that I like to read and comment on...also try to identify friends who share the same interest and respond to their discussions...
GOOD LUCK

This happens to me, too.
Sometimes I find so difficult to express my thoughts in English! In such cases I choose to skip the discussion and search for another one who permit me to express myself easily.
I set a goal for this month: each day I choose such a difficult discussion and I try to respond, even if it will take longer to write a satisfying response. This way I think I can improve my English skills and I hope I can express myself with more ease after this experiment.

Good idea!
myLot brings us such a good option to improve our skills in a number of ways. It helps us improve writing skills, debating skills etc. Furthermore, it enhances our knowledge by extending the boundary of fields where we practice our wisdom.

Woo so many people responded and belong to your group girl,i think it's a commom problem for any non-english speaker.I could only read and respond to a few discussions one day since I need more than ten minutes to read and translate and type to respond to one disscussion.Let's move forward together.

Yes,and thank you for the encouraging words, but I don't think reading is enough for me.As such a advanced english learner,I think the only obstacle you need to conquer is your proficiency level.Practising makes perfection. How have you been?you seem a little depressed.I have many ways of learning english,so talk to me and I will show you.lol hope everything goes smoothly!

Yes, I too often experienced the same thing as you. I often struggle to find a discussion that I would have responded. I do not find the right responses, and discussions are made about something I did not understand. I also more often chose a simple discussion, such as about everyday life.

Yes sometimes it is really difficult to find any discussions for responding. I think sometimes when we don't find any good discussion then we think which discussion is good or bad. I have also faced this situation with me. Because I always try to give minimum 50 posting daily. But when I not find any discussion then sometime I take help of search bar of mylot.

You always try to give minimum 50 posting daily. I have never thought that number. At best, it can only be 10. I have to try harder to be like you.

Hi dear,
You please read the entire topic and after reading you will get an approximate idea about the subject. Once you understand the matter, you can prepare your own response in simple English. I have advised some short cut methods to learn English in the earlier discussions. However, start learning the basic lesion and it will help you to improve.
Regards,
Thank-s

I have the same problem as you sometimes too! I have to find simple discussions to respond to because others require too much reading or .. just hard to answer and I cannot relate to.

Well,i can say that, you can start with simple topics and later you will get used to replying and you will noticed that, your English will improved.
This site will help you with your English skills,i assure you that.

Hi,
There are plenty of discussions in MyLot and you
can simply choose the one that you find easier to respond and
you really have the idea on how to write.
For me, I love to go for those topics of my interest.
I will use the seaching tool to look for the topic that I want.
DIfferent mylotters will post different kind of
questions and I just need to pick some that I really feel good in
responding it.

Same same, generally I want to answer the questions that my friends posted discuss, but some time its difficult to understand, it will take long time to read and to think, because my english is bad too, usually ten minutes over one discussion, the problem is not only this, when I finish the reading I find myself don't kwon the answer is what. it is too professional for me, maybe friends come around all over the world and have different job occupation. make me as a frog at a well bottom, I just have a small area of heaven. Ah!

ohhh, I'm having the same problem as well because I'm not an English-speaker. Sometimes I feel complicated to express some of my feelings in English and it takes quite a lot of time for me to respond just a few discussions. That's why I'm choosing some simple discussions as well.
