Edward Rosenthal regularly goes walking in California's Joshua Tree National Park. Well his latest walk ended 6 days after it began and will be a journey he won't soon forget.
The 64-year old decided to take another walk on a trail he thought he knew well to celebrate a great deal he recently closed. The events that followed will stay with him as he spent 6 days lost without food and water.
Mr. Rosenthal was found by search and rescue authorities Thursday down a 2,000 foot canyon. "It's really very miraculous" says his wife Nicole Kaplan who did not expect good news stating, "I didn't think that he'd be around".
This goes to show that no matter how the situation looks there is almost always hope. Edward is a very lucky man to be alive.

Indeed, so sad to have read this as although a happy ending I could not stop think what perhaps the poor guy dealt with for the entire six days. Wow! God Bless him.

absolutely...couldn't imagine the first few days of wondering and not knowing which direction to go. Then the last few days probably too weak to move lying there waiting to die.
On the other side, the joy he probably felt when he saw those rescuers must have been amazing. Sure it's not worth the whole ordeal though!
