Yeah I currently volunteer at a animal rescue too, but I don't have a lot of time! So I feel bad that I'm not helping out that much. Now I'm just happy I'll have an entire month to do nothing to volunteer my time to help animals! It's going to be great and I can't wait!! :) Thank you!

Oh that is definitely true for me too. I always fall in love with the animals, it's tough! I wish I didn't have any restrictions when it comes to animals! lol That's great! All our animals are rescues in some way, whether it be from a shelter, off the street, or from a home that didn't want them. I guess our only NONrescue animals are 1 of our birds and my 2 beta fish (of course I saved them from being stuck in those tiny cups they come in). I saved my 3 mice from being snake (or toad) food lol.

The only trouble with working at a shelter is that you end up wanting to bring all the animals home with you. Our two dogs and one of our cats were rescue animals.

Thank you very much carolbee :) I can't wait and I really know I'll enjoy it. The thing I'm dreading the most is the drive there! Driving for 5-6 hours alone, never having driven that way/far before--oh it's gonna suck! I just hope I don't get lost! I'm actually going to leave a day before I start at the sanctuary in case I get lost, and it'll give me time to settle in and maybe explore the area! :)

I wouldn't be able to afford it normally either! But since I'm volunteering at Best Friends for an extended amount of time they are giving me a 60% discount! PLUS since I'm staying at the lodge for 31 days I'm not being charged any tax! So it's great, I get to stay there for 31 days for just over $900. Thank you :)

I sometimes wish that the soda I drink have caffeine, but it's ALWAYS caffeine free!!! Boo! I wish I could drink soda to wake up since I don't like coffee. lol Thank you!

I think they'll really like you, too. I don't smoke or drink either and my soda doesn't have caffeine in it, actually it's flavored seltzer water so it doesn't have anything in it. Can't wait until you come back with pictures. Great! Take care.

Yeah there are pictures of the lodge, and the view from my room would be really cool! I'd have the view of a couple caves! I'm definitely going to be taking a lot of pictures there, so I'll have to share them with you guys! :) Thank you Hatley!
