I viewed a short clip that answers what a successful relationship should be like and the speaker simply compared it to chopsticks. Here's the comparison:
That relationship like chopsticks:
* must be held neither too loose nor too tight
* one is not enough to do the purpose (have to stay together for a purpose)
* no fix rule what/who is above or below
on top of all, must be blessed by God, for relationship is fragile, it will easily fall apart and we must allow God to hold it together.
His last advice: " Do not chop each other, stick to each other!"
Can you think of other comparison of what relationship should be like?
That relationship must be blessed or held by God, for relationship

I really like your comparison CANAUSSIE, tnx for sharing that.
For me,A relationship can be compared in baby sitting. Why?? Its a step by step process or handling. You need to be careful in every thing you do just to protect it.
Its a gift also from God that should be taking care of.
You need to give attention to it (time), love him/her unconditional.

Babysitting is a good comparison too as it compels you to care for a person in the most fragile way. Nice!

That is an amazing thought.:)
For me, I would compare relationships with our feet.
1. may be ahead the other most of the time but still meet together.
2. may be apart but produces a good balance.
3. should work together for the next step/decision. :)
