Gandhi really taught the world how to live.Especially the wonderful teaching of non violence, but how many people today still adhere to the teachings of Gandhiji, especially the present day Indian youth?

I Don't follow his principles, but not because he taught them :D, as I have a few of them inborn in me and some imbibed by my parents., Like I hate voilence and I would never go into fighting with anybody or support a voilence movement by participating it, Personally I feel there is nothing go to be achieved through fights. (though this is not a universal rule, some situations sure need us to fight.). Besides gandhiji's other teaching Speak truth :- Is what my parents have always taught me and I follow it sincerely, I cannot tolerate people telling lies. Yesss We do lie on petty issues while having fun which is okiee, but I make sure to tell them that I was joking and that was a lie.
I feel that nobody follows gandhiji's teachings in this corrupt world :D. Gandhiji never told anybody to be corrupt and unscruplous which unfortunately people have become today. Nobody has the power and the guts to live his entire life in a loin cloth as gandhiji did. He was sure a great leader and a great spiritual person who valued spiritual traditions and teachings.
A very happy birthday to him today :)

Believe me most of the youth do follow Mahatma, to an extent, even today. I agree that the numbers are dwindling rapidly, but still there is a sizable following for his teachings.
The problem is that no one is packaging, promoting or marketing the ideals he stood for. They are doing this only for themselves.
The role models for youth today are some Hero from movies who has the capability to take a 100 bullets, spew out a 20 minute monologue about evil, use the same method to kill the evil and then end up surviving!
The problem is with the political setup who seem to own him, but can't do without all the frills their lifestyle can provide. This is public dishonesty, and this is what we see!
