Are you the type of person who loves listen to music that is popular right now or are you the type who doesn't care about how popular your music is?
In my case I'm more of the latter although I still listen to music that is in right now. But recently I'm not much of a big fan of what I am hearing in the radio.
I don't want to name names but let's just say I don't want voice that are too much studio engineered. I prefer music from more talented artists even if they are not that popular.
How about you guys, what's your take on the mainstream music these days?

Honestly, I have given up on regular radio and mainstream music services. I get my music from a few blogs and Earbits, which is a free online radio service that focuses almost entirely on indie content. If you haven't checked it out, you should.

I also listen to all sorts of music --- some mainstream, some from really really obscure genres. :p I'm just so much of a music lover, addict even. Right now I rarely listen to the radio though because I'm revisiting some of my old cds, reviewing my roots if you may. Needless to say, my playlist right now is pretty much populated by early 90s rock, jazz, and progressive rock tracks. :) These eras in music really influenced me a lot and got me into the music scene.
I'm not really picky with the type of music. As long as it's catchy and has a good melody, I usually like it. If it's dance-able, even better! ...I suck at dancing though hahaha... but as long as it makes my foot tap, or my finger snap, I could easily get into it. :)
