Religion has greatly affected the life of people. If you are a Christian, you live christian way. But there are many religions existing today and a lot of people are bit confused as to which should be the one acceptable to God. What do you think is the true religion?

Perhaps the true religion is one that lets man live in peace and love with God and his fellow man.
You cannot kill for God, get this people, to kill another is to kill God
That has room for worship together and for each to stand in his own relation to God, where no man stands between.
One where there is room for guidance by the spirit within law

22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The True Religion would be one that believed in the Creator of the Universe as the one True G'd. There would be no others.
There would be no idols to worship.
People would worship together in groups and together as families.
Anyone who knew the prayers could lead a service or they could have one who did it all the time. A hierarchy is not necessary. (No Bishops etc.)
Children by the age of 13 should be part of the service~at special times even younger. Families are important.
Each House of Worship is autonomous, but joins with others as a family.
Unfortunately People are people and the human element must be added in. No matter how perfect something is designed it will never be perfect. This is basically how Judaism is designed. We do not have a Hierarchy or idols, we worship one G'd and we worship as a family. However, that family has split into several denominations, with the Ultra Religious making decisions that are trying to strangle the middle of the road religious. We all are very family oriented and we still believe the same, and that is what will continue to bind us together.

As a Baptist I believe Jesus was divine. I believe speculation about the nature of God is exactly that; speculation. I believe that when anyone says God can't... they are making a logical error or a meaningless statement, since God is omnipotent

Why not follow the advice in the Bible - James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (New International Version)
We need to pray for wisdom from our Creator to be able to understand the religion that comes from Him. He is willing to help us to learn the truth and He reveals the truth for those who search for it. One of my friends gave me great thought recently. It was from 1 Chronicles 28:9 "...the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever." (New International Version)
So according to the Bible, it depends on our motive and attitude if God gives us the understanding of the truth or not.

Hi holdingfast, Someday everyone will understand that there can be no one true religion. All religion is man made, just as earliest man created a God or Gods, to explain what he could not understand. All religions have some truth in them but none have all the truth. I think that we are spiritual beings having a human experience and that is why we are here to experience life in the physical. We are not here to prepare for the next life as many seem to believe, but to live this one. We are here to solve the problems of war, world hunger etc. not to spend our time praising God and asking him to solve our problems for us. We will eventually understand that we are all one and that we are also one with God. Blessings.

To know which of the various religions is telling the truth, you will have to test them. It is also a good idea to ask God to lead you toward the path of righteousness.

Religion is notoriously difficult to define. It’s a complex phenomenon that each perspective contributes different understanding.
Don’t focus on religion; focus on having your personal relationship with your God. Religion is based on man’s effort of reaching God and being made right with him through their own effort. There are series of procedures intends to satisfy our hearts that growth is taking place.
A Relationship with your God, encourages growth as you learn more about Him and strive to emulate Him. You are not bound under many procedures or laws. Remember that if you are in a relationship with your parents, siblings, husband/wife or friends you are bound with love, and as you come to know that person more and more you love him even more, same thing with your relationship with God. Because of love, It encourage you to study and learn on your earn as you seek Him more and more and as a fruit, you will love him even more.

I don't understand the confusion. All religions are true. They All lead you to the sane place. They just have different paths.Pick one and be faithful. Or don't pick one at all.

I would think the religion most acceptable to God is the one that more closely follows His teachings. They are the ones who show their love for him.

We have learned from my friend, as he showed in the Bible, what pure religion is. It is found in James 1:27 of the Bible which says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." That is what the Bible says about pure religion. If we speak of a religion that can be traced to the Lord Jesus Christ, it must be a religion that Christ started - that is the religion of Christianity. However, many people use and abused the word Christianity that we are confused about which is true. If you study the Bible, you can find one that can trace their roots to Jesus Christ, that is the Baptist Church. Their preaching is Jesus Christ is the only Saviour and not their Church.

To me, I will never compare which of those religions are acceptable to God. What you believe and where you are putting your faith on, that is what your true religion. As long as it comes from you heart. It would be the same for other people. No one can tell somebody else to believe what they believe. Just because there are many religions around doesn't mean only half of the human are acceptable to God. We human have the same value, doesn't matter where we live, rich or poor, stupid or clever, doesn't matter what we believe, and what we do for life. So there's no need to compare a religion, just believe what you want to believe, let your heart love what you want to love, let your eyes see what you want to see, or let your ears listen to what you want to listen.

Well it is like you are asking which is the best martial art. It doesn't matter which is the best one as long as you train hard every day and you listen your master.

I don't want to start an argument, so if i say something please don't take it offensively, i think we are all entitled to our opinion. With that said, i think that religion itself is a bunch of nonsense let alone a "True Religion".
I was born a Muslim and as a child i took everything that was told to me, i prayed and did mostly everything that Muslims are supposed to do. But recently in my life i noticed a change in myself, when started questioning things i started feeling different about religion and its promises. I came to notice that a lot of things that we do regardless of what religion we're in don't make a lot of sense. The fact that there is more then one religion should be a big heads up that something doesn't add up. The reason i say this is because in the bible Jesus says "only through me will you get to heaven". Well what that means is that all Muslims are going to hell, because we do not believe in Jesus as our profit or even god. Each religion believes in its own thing, and each religion believes that what they believe is correct even though they have no proof. Ultimately religion is just an idea implemented in humans over time as a way to give meaning to life, to keep them in order and to keep them believing in hope. It brings more bad then good, because we separate each other and we bring wars and destruction just because we believe in something that we never even seen.
