The debate has been gone on and on for all this while, which league in europe is the best. The leading league like English Premier League, Bundesliga, Italian Seria A and Spanish La Liga have been competing for this title. By looking at the champion league winner alone is not enough. Just like when Barcelona win the Champion league, the other spanish side easily get brushed aside by other team and that is include Real Madrid. Last year saw Inter meat Bayern at the final. Other Italian and German team didn't do well. English club have consistently been at the last 8 and last season no exception. At least 3 club always make it through to quarter final and by beating team from Italy, Spain and German. So it is really hard to tell which league is the best.
What is your opinion?

The best football league in the world, without doubt, is the English Premier League, which l am watching whilist writing this. Newcastle United, and Spurs are the teams to watch this season, you can forget Man utd and the rest. OK!!!!!

I wouldn't say the English league.
The premiership is currently on a major down turn at the moment, not many people will admit this but it's similar to what happened with the Italian league towards the millennium.
Personally I think leagues now are on par which each other, except for Spain where things seem to have not been effected by this past financial year. It's not always about money that decides but usually it plays a big part, as it does in football. It as to be the La Liga.

I think that a good league is where lots of teams fight for the upper places, and they can still make a good figure on international stage. We know that England has 4-5 good teams, but the rest are finishing way behind them. The same in Spain, Real and Barcelona fight for the championship and the others are very far from them. In Germany, France and Holland the teams are not so clearly away from each other, the champion, the top spots and the relegation spots are usually given away on the last match day. Of course, they cannot put up a great fight on the international stage, but that is because the financial difference between many of teams. That wouldn't be a big deal, if financial fair-play would be applied. But teams like Chelsea, Man City or others are owned by wealthy foreigners, and they pump lots of money in the team. On other hand there are teams like Bayern, Lyon which are self made teams, which can only spend what they produced. If the law would be the same in every league then the gap between the teams wouldn't be so big. That is why I don't appreciate those teams, which are only good because somebody pumps them with money. I only hope that when the owner will not be anymore, they will disappear, because they will have enormous debts and they will go bankrupt. That is why I would say that German league is the best, because every team has to live with what produces, not what falls from the sky.

Bundesliga have a lot of competetion and they are self sustain. Have to produce their own player and spend only what they earn. Lack of success in europe for a few season just didn't make them a favorite to win a best league in europe. If the financial fair play have been implemented, I quess German team might have make their mark together with team from other league like Italian, French and Dutch.

As much as there are great spanish and italian teams, there is far more consistency from the english premiership and so they in my mind have the best league in the world.

English premier league~~~
England team has been fast pace of the game, now into a lot of technical elements, and highly worth watching.
of course,as aChinese,I also support the China football super league,he might have a lot to be desired, but he has been in progress.

I agree with you that the English game is fast. But technically, they are very poor. Italian league have a physical league and the tackle is flying, but nobody leg have been broken like in the English League,. That just show how poor English league technically is.

I will also go with English Premier League.
I think it's the most likely to offer extremely high quality games, those that can become gripping even when you have no emotional investment in any of the teams.
I'm also a bit sentimental - I've learned the rules of the game by watching Premier League, back in the days when Alan Shearer was with Newcastle and Arsenal had Overmars and Bergkamp.
From my point of view, Seria A gets a thumb down for all the corruption scandals. I really don't want to watch a game only to find out it was rigged a week later.
