Here's an easy tip: Drink water, and cut out pops/sodas/energy drinks/sugary coffee drinks. You can still have some black coffee in the morning or throughout the day, but drink your daily recommended amount of water. I lost 4 pounds in a week just by giving up soda (so the scale told me, unless it was lying) and this was a few weeks ago. I've probably gained it back, becaues I started drinking soda again (lol) but it worked for that time being.

Go to a dietitian that's the best advice. Sure you can ferret things out for yourself but really maybe you're not getting enough minerals or vitamins or this or that and your body will protest making it harder for you to lose wait and you'll feel terrible too. The best situation is when you have someone who helps you stay away from the unhealthy foods and yet you should eat something unhealthy once in a while too! Why? Because dieting doesn't mean staying away from the things you like, moderation however is the keyword in this matter. If you want to eat a piece of chocolate do it, but don't do it everyday... Also if you get comments like: wow, you look great. See that as a motivation to continue fighting towards your ideal weight. Make sure that ideal weight is a realistic goal. If you weigh 120 kilograms and are 2.00 meter then don't aim under 100 kilograms it's not realistic. ( it's just a stupid example) I had a period in which I lost a lot of weight ( later on regained that... *sigh*) but more girls showed interest in me due to me having more stamina looking better and feeling better about myself. Nowadays for me to have girls is to fake having great personal qualities... which feels crap and is crap... :) And oh yes: 2 portions of food and 200 grams of vegetables every single day! :)

I'm going to tell you what works for me. I don't know how well it is going to work for anyone else. However, I try to keep a steady exercise regime, including walking when it is feasible for weather. I lost a decent amount of weight by walking for thirty minutes about four times a week. Then I did some other exercising, combination of sit ups, push ups, and weights, varying depending on the day. However, I will say one thing. Diets nine times out of ten, don't work. They might in the short term, but for the long term, it is going to cause a lot of stress. Exercise is the key. Of course, you could only eat at mealtimes and only eat the recommended serving size, but some of those "serving" sizes are personally suspect from me. However, walking when you can is a good start. Trial and error a lot of the time is what is going to lead for an exercise program that works for you.
