I have a boy aged 3.5 years. He was idolized Spiderman. I do not understand, how he's very flattering of the Spiderman, because in each of his personal belongings he wanted a picture like that favorite characters, such as bags, clothes, shoes, and even wrapping paper to wrap a birthday present with a picture of his friend he chose Spiderman.I never one time with my children on the edge of the fish pond, which happened to many small animals that have little in common with profit gain, either to make a web and the way the motion, which could be one species of spider species. My son saw it, and the first comment out of his mouth was: "Mummy, see there is a Spiderman" he said, "There's a spider web" he shouted ... The funny anymore, he often mimicked the style of Spiderman in action if it nets out from the tip of his finger tip ... (surely you can imagine)... I just realized was a single child requires a heroic figure, regardless of who becomes his favorite character, because children are still idolized in his heart goodness. So, do you think deserves this Spiderman idolized?

Children are apt to hero-worship. I have a newphew who "worships" Mr. Bean and cried when I would not buy him a pair of slippers with Mr. Bean on it. I mean, Mr. Bean? Lol. I thought this was for adults only. I was just watching spiderman on TV this afternoon. I think Spiderman is okay as he does good things for people and that is good for children. The danger is when they try to imitate spectacular feats like flying and jumping from high places. But I am sure your child will get over him when he finds somebody else to hero-worship. It's like fad. Happy mylotting.

Well.... idols are required for everybody's growth :).. Thats what i think ..i had childhood idols of superheroes till the beginning of college :P ... and i would like to say i turned out fine ...heroes have their own lessons to teach.. like not giving up , sacrificing , looking at the greater good , sometimes humor .. most importantly the imagination that they provide is very important .... it somehow adds to your perception and you behave accordingly :) .... my young bro loves iron-man ... a comic hero who is probably like the best engineer their in the world .... he bought out a set of electronic kids kit and keeps tinkering the different tools, motors etc ... Ofcourse you should encourage them not to try the things hero do physically :) ...those things you can teach them :)

Children are so imaginative and see so much innocence with many super-heroes. I think this is a good thing as he broadening his imaginative and thinking perspective. We need to continue to encourage our children with such activities, therefore, prolonging their innocence as when they get older they get so exposed to such much natures.

i have a four year old son and he will be turning 5 next year. he loves pocoyo and like your son he has a lot of things at home with pocoyo. even our wall clock has a pocoyo design. that is how kids show how they like a person. there are also adults who are like that. for example they collect robots of transformers because they are a big fan. i guess this is natural.
