What do you think is the Fastest way to Loose Weight?

I've been suffering with a bad back and a sore ankle joint because I have been obese for sometime. I cannot walk straight because of the pain in my back and the pain in my foot when I make a step. I have already skipped in between meals and have shy away from sweet desserts. I have measured my carbohydrates to a minimum per meal. I feel than I am losing weight but not at the rate that I want. Do you have any suggestions on how I could loose faster? Please share your thoughts on this.

You are definitely doing the right things by cutting the carbohydrates and sweets. That's sort of the premise of the Atkins diet, which is the only one I can lose weight with. Some would say it's a good idea to cut out the between meal snacks but there is good and bad about that. It's actually better to eat more often but very small meals. In other words, eat a little bit every 2-3 hours. This helps keep your blood sugar levels stable and will cut down on cravings. You also train yourself to feel full with less food which will help you keep the weight off over the long run. The main goal is to keep the overall calorie intake down over the course of the day. The only way you lose weight is to take in less calories than you burn every day. Don't try to lose weight too fast though. I know you want to see quick results and you're anxious to lose, but quick weight loss isn't very healthy and weight you lose fast is easier to put back on. Weight you lose slowly over a longer period of time is easier to keep off because your body has far longer to get used to the lighter weight. Your body tends to naturally maintain rather than change, so the longer you are at a lighter weight, the more your body will tend to treat it as "normal" and want to maintain it. Lose weight slow and steady and you'll keep it off. Keep going and don't give up!

well I think you should quit all the carbs foods and do a lot of exercises.I think this is the basic rule. But some people are fat not because they eat a lot but because its hereditary. There is this guy in my class at college he hardly eats anything but he is huge.

Now that 12 months have passed how are you doing with your weight loss? I have lost 50 pounds in 2 years and it was very slow. But doing it slowly is the way to keep it off because you just can't diet but have to change your whole way of living. Your eating habits have to change and you need to up your physical activity. How I lost the weight was cutting out my carbs completely and walking. When I say walking, I mean lots of walking. I walked about 4 hours every evening. Where I live it is really hilly so walking up and down hills and working up a sweat is what did it for me. I know you can't do the walking yet as you have problems with parts of your body that would be effected by walking but you can do other things that would be easier on your body. For example, when you are sitting and watching TV you can do some easy exercises like just moving your arms up and down along your sides. Then try holding a can of soup for weight and move your arms up and down. I know that doesn't sound like much but every time you move you burn calories so every little bit helps. And drink tons and tons of water. I never used to drink water and I used to get headaches all the time and once I started drinking water because I needed to to loose weight, according to my doctor, and guess what, my headaches stopped and I started to drop the pounds quicker and I started to feel so much better and had more energy and could walk faster. let me share to you what i did... i listed all the things i ate everyday and look for its caloric values to see if i ate more than what my body require. from there, i learned that i did and decrease my consumption.. before, i can loose about a kilo per week. this is while spending an hour jogging everyday. hope this help... nothing really is easy. you just have to be determined.

You can´t lise weight in a jiffy but you can be happy to lose weight little by little. Desserts can be changed to natural fruits. It helps your sweet tooth and gives you vitamins and minerals. Proteis in quantitits turn into carbohidrates if your body needs them .Eat a well balanced meal, exersise some (walks are not terrible for back pains and you can start with one block). Do house chores with music from when you were 15 years old. If your foot hurts, move your hands, arms, hips, whatever you can move along with the rithm. Singing also helps. And laughing. Don´t watch so much TV (we tend to eat snacks then)and discover other ways ti have fun. I do a lot of my gardening in containers over a table because it hurts me to bend down for too long. But even that helps. There are lots of chores that help lower weight. Try the one you like most. Luck!

hi incuss, burning what you take will depend on your metabolism. so eat in small portions snack, lunch, snack and very little for dinner). breakfast should be heavy. ann

Hi tigeraunt, I have read something about this, that dieting is not about skipping meal. It has been said there that yes, especially breakfast must not be taken for granted, and if I may add, complete rest or the proper 8 hours sleep will also do a lot. Have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

I have no idea but I can give an example of my husband who was suffering from low back pain and a pain in knee. For the low back pain he had to undergone surgery two times. And the doctor has advised him to loose his weight for keep away from further surgery. For his knee pain he also suggested weight loose. Now he started to take some Nutritious supplementary food. After one month he is getting good result. On the basis of the example I also suggest you to start of taking nutritious supplementary food which are good. There must be some good supplementary diets available in your area.

I am down from 227 to 170 and during the process of switching to a healthier lifestyle (something you will have to do if you want any weight you lose to stay gone)I saw the poundes per week double when I switched all of my breads to whole grain and quit soda completely. Also instead of ditching meals I added 2. I know eat 5 small meals a day and an evening snack, usually yogurt with granola. It helps to speed up your metabolism. I know you are in pain when you walk but if you look around there are lots of workouts that you can do sitting down; this will help also. Check with you're local YMCA to see if they have a indoor pool that you can use. After you have lost some you will be able to get up and do more. Just keep in mind that if you start pumping iron you will lose fat but may not see a change on the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat. I wish you the best of luck in this. I know you can do it!

In here, we have so many traditional medicine that have been used for generation to generation. Whether for diet, skin, beauty, detox, hair, etc. All come by nature, no chemical. I have a plan to make a blog about it. Just have to find the book first.

your on the right track all you need to do is insert exercise in your routine. a diet is good it will get you there eventually but its slow. but when you exercise it hastens things fast. so what i suggest that you do is you do a lot of cardio workout and then after getting used to it, you must now lift weights to develop your muscles and the muscles will eat the fat.

in my opinion there are no fast way to loss weight but the most effective to loss weight is to do cardio work out jogging at least an hour a day then watch out your diet

I heard same story just like you. Search Jim Poore in the internet. He also used Herbalife just to lose lots of weight. You only have to drink the shake and other products. Anyway he lost 402 pounds. Check my website: www.perfectdiet.multiply.com

My though is that you do alot of running outside and do some ab exercises like crunches push ups chin-ups and have a healthy diet of veggies and fruits

Hi incus, Actually to loose weight is my ultimate dream. I used to read different tips and ways on how to win over obesity, but no success. But I'm still willing to find the right way and yes, the fastest way as possible. If it happens that you found the best way, care to share it, okey? hello incus99! i think there is no prescribed dieting plan for everyone, it must be designed to suit individual's needs and actual body situation. One thing i am sure though, is that skipping breakfast would not help you lose weight. It would rather gear you up to consume more during lunch and dinner since your body will have to make up for the breakfast which you had skipped. the best thing to do if you want to lose weight is to eat 5 or more small meals everyday. this would ensure that you will not be tempted to splurge-eating when you get really hungry because of skipping. another thing, include egg in your breakfast meal. it has been studied and proven that those who eat breakfast with eggs in it lose weight faster than those who didn't. Furthermore, it would be better if you move yourself throughout the day, to burn the calories. consult a doctor if you have to, but you need to wiggle to lose fat and dieting alone would not suffice. besides, i guess the pain in your back and foot are cause by inactivity and it would help you if you move a little bit more everyday.

Try to avoid food that contains a lot of fat. That diet was the only one that helped me lose 42lbs. Also, try to do a little bit exercise. 10-15 minutes a day is a good start. There is no easy or magic way to lose weight quickly in a healthy way. Get out there and move! :) Jog for short distances only, don't stress your heart and it's even more fun to go with a friend.

hello Incus. The best Way to loose weight is join a Standard gymnasium, Where they have a deitician which will help you immensely to loose your weight permanantly. Once you get a diet plan from the dietician follow it for ever. It will surely help you to loose weight, and the myths that you have to fast for loosing weight are craps :D. You can enjoy your desserts and choclates in moderation if you follow a good diet chart. I would seriously recommend joining a gym which provide with all expertise like dieticians, trainers etc. That would be the real first step to weight loss. You can even take to swimming as it helps in balancing fat in the body. Look for a permanant cure than a temporary fast weight loss programs's lure :D.

It seems to me you are doing great already but : I wouldn't encourage you to lose weight very fast because it will harm your health and might lead you to the "boomerang effect" in which you will get twice the fat back in a couple of years if you are not careful. The ideal amount of weight you should lose is 1% of your weight per week. For example if you are 100kg you should not lose more than 1 Kg per week. I could encourage you to focus in losing fat mostly and not weight because when you lose weight you include muscle weight which is absolutely essential for your health. There is some exercise using horizontal bar placed in the top of your door inside the house which I would recommend you to do which is a good way to strengthen your back and exercise the same time.
