I want to open an online business

I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I am trying to open an internet business providing writing to others. I have not opened a business before. I live in chesapeake Virginia. Does anybody know what legal stuff i need to get to open this business? Do I have to do anything?

i am not from your place, but i think what i can suggest is more of a general one. I suggest that you open a site (free) like freewebs, or even in multiply and start asking first from your friends, and then posting it in forums that you are actually seeking to do writing jobs.
