need answers on notifications @ mylot please read thru b4 responding

i have changed notifications and i still get email when my "friends" start discussions and i dont want to spam mylot but its getting accessive ive went and canged it in preferences and theres not an option. i had 20 email from "friends" that started discussions and if i log in it shows activity so why even need notification if someone starteda discussion?

Since I have never made changes to my preferences, I can only respond with what I recall reading form prior discussions. I have read that changing the preferences alone is not enough. That you need to go to your friends list and individually change the friends notification to off.
I hope this helps and if it does not I am sorry but this is what I understood from other members. Good luck I hope it does help and you are able to make the changes to be more effective for you.

exactly right, you have to turn them off friend by friend...
