Would you rather FLY, SAIL or DRIVE?

I take flying anytime. I'm quite impatient and as much as possible I want to get to my destination as fast as I could so I can do my business right away. I've sailed and traveled on ship and bored the heckle and jeckle out of me! I also got terribly seasick and spent the entire cruise in my cabin deliriously sick and vowed never to travel by water again. I like sightseeing, there are so many things we can see while driving but I am not into long, long driving because I also get motion sick and fall asleep in the car with my legs stiff and b*m hurting.
We all have our preferences when it comes to traveling, sure would like to know yours and your experiences.

I'm still a student, have no money to take a plane or own a car of myself,i have just taken the train for several times. It's a journey so crowded ,giddy and unpleasant.Almost every inch of the train was taken up by people, they talked loudly and make me fickle. And i vowed never to travel by train just like you never by water, but i have to if i would take a trip to somewhere,i have no choice.

I've also traveled on commuter train but never again on rush hour! Didn't like the idea of being packed like sardines.
Well, yeyelee, I guess you have all the time in the world to dream or plan to travel in distant places, one day you'll get there in however means of travel you prefer.

When I travel I like driving. I love watching different scenearies and Love taking adventures. I know the driving is long sometimes but you can always make stops and do some site seeing and shopping. When you fly you can't do that. I'veo only flown 2 times and the rest of the time I traveled to different states was driving.

Of course driving gives us the chance to see and discover beautiful places that flying or traveling by sea don't allow. If it is just a couple of hours drive, I don't mind more than that it is agony for me.

My favorite way to travel is by train. Then I can look out of the window during the day time and sleep in a comfortable compartment in the night time.
The options you have given are fly in a plane, sail in a ship or drive my car. I managed to pass my practical driving test earlier this year. I drive my car around and haven't been on any very long journeys in it yet. I go on planes when I wish to travel to a long haul destination.
I would rather travel by train. Then I don't get sea sick. I can go on an express train or a slow regional train. In the future I will be driving my car longer distances within my home country. I like sailing in a yacht but it is hard to find that experience.

I like to drive. I have fear on heights and sea sickness so I like to travel on land. Yesterday I took 50 kms. joyride on motorcycle with my husband and husband's friends...It's fun.

I'm from England but live in Austria so visit my family there a few times a year. The flight is only 2hrs and cheap with some of these budget airlines, but i don't fly, I drive the 950 miles across Europe. It takes around 24hrs, depending on how tired I get and how often I have to stop. I love the Austrian scenery in the mountains and if the weathers nice in the summer it's a really beautiful drive. However, you need to cross thru Germany, and the German Autobahn (motorway, highway) can be real stressful.
Without fail you have Mercedes, Audis and BMWs going by at ridiculous speeds, or if you're in their way, inches from your rear bumper, flashing furiously. I just don't know why all the stress with Germans and driving. It's a 5hr trip on the A3 and you literally get this the whole way. Once in the Netherlands, Belgium and France the journey becomes nice again.
Oh and you didn't mention Rail, any reason?

I'd rather sail or fly than drive. I enjoyed going on a cruise ship, but if I got seasick like you did, then I'm sure I wouldn't like it either. Forunately, it didn't bother me. I also don't mind flying. But, on the other hand, when I drive, I don't have to check in or go through security like the other two options sometime require.

I would rather fly. I like the sensation of soaring up high. And besides, as you have written, flying is faster.
