PCOS, is there no other alternative to remedy this except hormone pills?

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. As explained to me by my OB, i am releasing egg cells but could not reach menstruation because the egg cells fail to mature in certain phases in my ovulation. Other methods to rectify PCOS is surgery but this still wont guarantee that PCOS wont happen again. Are there other alternatives out there to balance my hormones? I cant keep on taking these hormone pills forever, ive read somewhere that contraceptive pills can cause cancer in long-term use. Help me!

The best natural cure for PCOS is to lose weight. Fat cells produce estrogen, and excess levels of estrogen can cause women to experience balding and a receding hairline, as well as excess estrogen is converted to testosterone in the body, causing many other PCOS symptoms. As a sufferer myself, I am waiting until I recover from complications arising from my C section (I was lucky I managed to conceive) so I can get out there and swim and jog again and continue my weight loss. In the meantimes tricylen lo is really helping.

I have been dealing with PCOS for several years now. I found out when I couldn't get pregnant.
I still have the same questions as you. I have finally been sent to an endocrinologist. I have been taking Yaz, metformin, and spironolactone. I saw him last week. I still have symptoms though. I having having my hormones tested. So I am not sure if the meds are helping or just wreaking havoc with my system. (He thinks I have low estrogen, not really sure what that means though).
I've looked into herbs, but I'm not sure if I trust them or not.

Hello Grace beta
The best answer can be given by a qualified O & G Specialist, all i can say is hormones should not be taken for years, you make your body worse using them, well you can try herbal medicines, homoeopatic medicines and breathing exercises, they work wonders and are safe too..
Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
